A licensing plan for coupling nuclear–renewable hybrid energy systems

South Africa committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 34% below "Business As Usual" levels by 2020 and 42% by 2025 at the Copenhagen climate change conference. However, global energy demand was projected to rise due to population and industrial growth, with energy usage expected to increase by 13% through 2040. In South Africa, a steady increase in electricity demand prompted the government to implement a new growth path (NGP), which prioritized job creation in all economic policies, including energy.

Attitude of students towards ict based mathematics education

ICT is the base of modern education system. It helps us to provide a quality full education. In present time mathematics education depend on ICT. ICT provide a quality full mathematics teaching and learning. As like a developing country there is lack of technology, internet access, and qualified trainers act as the challenge in providing ICT based education in India. Information communication technology (ICT) is recognized as an important tools for education also mathematics education. In the modern time period ICT play an important role to teaching and learning.

The intersection of space law and maritime security: Regulatory challenges and opportunities

This paper delves into the fascinating intersection of space law and maritime security, uncovering several new regulatory challenges and opportunities. With increasing reliance on outer space for maritime security, appropriate regulation is crucial to address legal ambiguities and conflicts. The study critically analyzes the key legal instruments governing the maritime environment and outer space, namely the Space Treaty of 1967 and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), pinpointing their overlaps and gaps.

Buddha and nature as depicted in Aśvaghoṣa’s buddhacarita

This paper emphasizes the deep interdependence of nature and the Buddha as depicted in Buddhacarita of Aśvaghoṣa Bodhisattva. The text contends that the Buddha was inextricably linked with the natural world throughout his life. Nature is the Buddha's ally in the path to enlightenment, cultivating a deep regard for nature's extraordinary beauty and diversity. The accounts of the Buddha's life in Buddhacarita are difficult to divide between stories, facts, and myths. Many plants, flowers, animals, and trees are linked to Buddha's life story.

Quality of life and coping strategies in the Covid-19 pandemic: Comparison analysis between middle-aged and eldery people

The emergence of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has triggered a global public health crisis and posed an unprecedented threat to mental health worldwide. The aim of this study was to compare quality of life variables and coping strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic between two different age groups: middle-aged people and elderly people. Descriptive and comparative studies were carried out. The study has a quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional design. The sample was for convenience and not probabilistic. 311 people aged over 40 years were interviewed.

Effects of knowledge, experience and coordinationon cost certainty for structural engineering designs of high-rise building projectsin Nairobi, Kenya

Clients are increasingly demanding a high degree of cost certainty from their project design teams to ensure that their building projects are completed within the budgeted resources. However, this objective has been negated by various challenges that unfortunately cause budget overruns. This study investigated the effects of experience and project management skills on Change Orders for Structural Engineering High-Rise Buildings in Nairobi County, Kenya.

Sperm dna bridges versus genetic variability: an editorial

Sperm DNA fragmentation is recognized to compromise male fertility. The data entail that sperm DNA damage can be competently treated with oral antioxidant administration during a comparatively short time period. It is an understanding that the 2 types of DNA appear to be different and autonomously packaged molecules; though, research has demonstrated the interdependent nature of these conformations in contributing to male infertility.

Exploring the evolutionary relationships and impact of metacaspase proteins in harmful algal blooms in the uae waters

Harmful algal blooms (HABs) pose significant threats to aquatic ecosystems, human health, and coastal economies worldwide. The causative agents of HABs are primarily dinoflagellates Marglefidiniumpolykrikoides and Prorocentrum minimum), and diatoms (Chaetocerostenuissimus, Fragilaria radians, Phaeodactylumtricornutum, and Skeletonemamarinoi), which produce various toxins that exacerbate the harmful effects. Metacaspase, a toxin-producing protein, has emerged as a critical component in the pathogenesis of HABs.

Convolução como um apelo da natureza

In this manuscript, we show in an educational way, how the operation known as convolution works. This is an important subject as it has a relevant physical appeal. At first, we will discuss the sampling concept where we will briefly focus on the decomposition of signals through a function known as impulse function. We address the impulse function and talk about the peculiarities of its representation in the discrete domain.
