A case of pneumonia with unknown etiology appears in China, where the cause was identified as a new coronavirus.Diagnostic tests for COVID-19 have stood out in the pandemic as an essential tool for tracking the spread of the disease. The present work aims to trace the epidemiological profile of the new coronavirus in patients who sought care at the Hospital das Clínicas of the University of Medicine of Marilia.1200 records of individuals who underwent the COVID-19 test at HC FAMEMA were analyzed, from August to February 2021.

Introduction: Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by persistent facial redness, telangiectasias, papules/pustules and skin lesions. Endolaser technique (also known as Endolift) uses a laser beam with a wavelength of 980 or 1470nm emitted through an optical fiber inserted into the subcutaneous tissue in order to tone the skin through neocollagenesis and/or reduce subcutaneous fat. Objective: This study aimed to report three cases of rosacea treatment using the endolaser with a wavelength of 980 nm.

Introduction: Keratoconus (KC) is a chronic, progressive pathology that causes visual concern, in young patients the condition is more advanced with a faster progression of the disease. Treatment in pediatrics is mainly respiratory, among the most used methods is keratoplasty. Objective: To evaluate the profile of keratoplasty used in the correction of keratoconus in children and the main complications that this method entails for pediatric health. Introdução: A meningite ainda é uma doença que merece atenção de políticas públicas de saúde, tendo em vista que ainda causa surtos esporádicos. Objetivos: Analisar a tendência temporal da incidência de meningite no Brasil, entre 2009 e 2018. Materiais e Métodos: Estudo ecológico de série temporal, com dados provenientes do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN). Os dados foram submetidos à estatística descritiva e inferencial, com regressão linear da relação entre anos e taxa de incidência.

O presente trabalho de pesquisa apresenta uma revisão de literatura, em um importante período de recorte temporal de 1988 até 2022, sobre as principais atividades antrópicas que contribuem para o desmatamento na Amazônia do Brasil (ou Amazônia Legal), região que neste país abrange nove estados: Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima e Tocantins. Para tal, foram analisadas as principais plataformas de publicações científicas e bases de dados.

Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disease that affects synapses, considered the main cause of dementia in the world. This article presents, through an integrative review, the age mortality discrepancy for both sexes due to the disease in Brazil. The study aims to determine possible explanations for this difference in mortality between ages. In this review, searches were used in: TABNET-DATASUS, IBGE, Medline and PubMed; having, as a research parameter, articles and data relevant to the subject.
