Social rights of immigrants from amazonas (Brazil) and the reflections of border restriction during Covid-19 pandemic
This investigation aims to propose a scientific discussion about the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic regarding the fundamental social rights of immigrants in Amazonas, Brazil. We also study the consequences of the restriction of borders. According to the results of the online field survey carried out by PUC-MINAS and UNICAMP, in May and July 2020, the pandemic scenario caused impacts on the protection of the fundamental social rights of immigrants. This situation violated essential principles and guidelines that govern Brazil's immigration policy, according to Law n. 13,445/17.
