Difficulties in obtaining a diagnosis and treatment and financial and logistical problems are identified as the leading causes of the high prevalence of blindness due to cataracts worldwide. With the increasing availability of portable fundus cameras and slit-lamp adapters for smartphones, cataract diagnosis can be enhanced in remote regions at a low cost using easy-to-handle devices. The aim of this article is to describe a patent application for a device created to capture lens images and classify cataracts automatically based on computer vision methods.

The present article was conducted with the purpose of investigating the traditional treatments of folk medicine for asthma in Northeastern Brazil, in order to identify the ingredients, recipes, cultural-historical survey, etc. in its phytotherapeutic basis. The research included a bibliographic review phase; and later, a field research, using a semi-structured questionnaire, applied among residents of the cities of Recife-PE, Ouricuri-PE, Juazeiro do Norte-CE, and Picos-PI.

Objetivo: traçar o perfil clínico-epidemiológico de gestantes do estado da Paraíba, considerando as três macrorregiões de saúde. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo transversal, exploratório e descritivo com abordagem quantitativa, utilizando-se dados secundários a fim de caracterizar o perfil sociodemográfico e clínico-obstétrico de mulheres em período gravídico atendidas pelo Projeto Rede Cuidar, no Estado da Paraíba, Brasil.Identificou-setrês eixos para compor o estudo: dados sociodemográficos das gestantes, informações referentes ao pré-natal e situação clínico-obstétrica.

Objetivo: O estudo visa destacar a atuação do profissional fisioterapeuta na atenção primária à saúde. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, a qual se utilizou das bases de dados Scielo e Bireme Lilacs, sendo pesquisadas pela combinação dos descritores fisioterapia, fisioterapeuta, atenção primária à saúde, e seus sinônimos, no período de 2016-2021, sem restrição de idioma. Procedeu-se a leitura, análise e seleção por pares. Resultado: De um total de 53 artigos, apenas 08 atenderam aos critérios de inclusão.

The objective was to evaluate the main clinical characteristics and related factors of children who were burned hospitalized in a Burn Treatment Center in the city of Fortaleza-Ceará-Brazil. Documentary, retrospective study with quantitative approach. Carried out in a Burn Treatment Center, with analysis of 155 children's records. For data collection, identification data, burn classification, burned body surface, hospital stay, related factors, nursing diagnoses, and decision-making in the face of clinical conditions were analyzed.

Introduction: The beginning of academic life impacts the lifestyle of medical students, bringing social, psychological, and physical consequences, with emphasis on the development of cardiovascular risk factors (CVRF). Objectives: To determine the prevalence and factors associated with CVRF in 1st, 3rd, and 6th-year medical students at the Federal University of Goiás. Method: Cross-sectional observational study. The students performed capillary blood glucose, bioelectrical impedance and underwent a physical examination. Results: 177 students participated in the study, 67.2% male.

Introdução: O Método Canguru caracteriza-se como um método simples, econômico, completo e prazeroso, que pode ser realizado em qualquer instituição de saúde, ele promove benefícios tanto para a mãe quanto para o bebê. Objetivo: analisar as produções científicas acerca das evidências do MC no alívio do estresse materno durante a hospitalização do filho prematuro em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal (UTIN). Método: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura.

Soil is a vital natural resource and is essential for sustainable socioeconomic development of a given region. The knowledge of the relationships between the elements of the physical environment is essential for formulating adequate proposals for preventing and controlling soil loss. It is important to identify the areas that are the most vulnerable to soil loss, such that best land use practices can be adequately and safely adopted.

This is an empirical and conceptual research that aimed to reflect about the evaluation of learning during the Emergency Remote Education (ERE) under the perspective of students from the Language programs at a public state university of Maranhão, during the semesters of 2020-2 and 2021-1. The study was conducted in a populational sample from two classes of English Language interns. We used the extensive direct documentation technique via online questionnaires. The research was based on works from Hofmann (2002), Luckesi (2003), Pimenta and Ghedin (2002), Vasconcelos (2005), among others.
