Psychosomatic impacts on a quality of life of the professionals of the urgent mobile care services

Aims: the objective of this study was to evaluate factors that cause psychosomatic impacts on the well-being of rescuers, with a sample of 136 professionals working in a Pre-Hospital Care service. Method: questionnaires were used as instruments: sociodemographic/professional, sleep problems through the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the Epworth Sleepiness Scale, Depression by the Beck Depression Inventory. The evaluation of Burnout Syndrome was realized through of the Maslach Burnout Inventory and the quality of life used the WHOQOL.

Seeking to identify subsidies of psychology to understand cultural movements, Analytical psychology offers us its fundamental elements for understanding such phenomena. The archetypes and symbols are crucial to understanding cultural movements such as Grunge, which occurred between 1980 and 1990. The archetypal elements and symbols that possibly fueled the music, behavior and even the decline of the movement, give clarity about human behavior and how we see the elements of analytical psychology, in this historical context that contains significant elements for today's society.

Estilo de vida em crianças: um estudo piloto sobre atividade física e alimentação

O objetivo do estudo foi identificar e o estilo de vida em crianças, de crianças 7 e 12 anos, e correlacionar atividade física e hábitos alimentares.Participaram da amostra 31 crianças, com a média de idade 9±1,23.No estilo de vida foram analisadasaatividade físicae hábitos alimen¬tares, foram mesurados circunferência da cintura (CC), altura e peso. Foi feito o teste de normalidade de Shapiro-Wilks eum teste “t”, pareado. Para as variáveis de caracterização de amostra, a média geral para o IMC foi de 17,4, enquanto nos scores de atividade física a média geral foi 390,13.

Pecularities of bone disease in elderly patients with chronic kidney disease

Background: Chronic kidney disease has a high prevalence in Brazil and worldwide, being a growing public health problem that generates disabilities, early mortality and costs for health systems, causing great harm to the patient's bone health and harming metabolic and hemodynamic control and compromised quality of life. The various functions of the kidneys are influenced by the complex process of normal aging, and the progress of this process can be influenced by overlapping diseases. Microscopically, the numbers of nephrons decrease as global glomerulosclerosis becomes more evident.

Imperative reconstruction of complex defects of thoracic wall after non breast cancer resection

Complex defects of thoracic wall are mainly acquired after cancer resection, whose reconstruction during the same surgical time is imperative. Thoracic reconstruction aims to avoid paradoxical breathing, to protect intrathoracic organs and other noble structures, to obliterate empty spaces and, if possible, to obtain a good aesthetic. This study presents a case series of imperative reconstruction of complex defects of thoracic wall after non breast cancer (NBC) resection.

Reconhecimento de emoções utilizando biossensores: um estudo de caso com redes neurais

O objetivo deste artigo é descrever o processo de implementação e avaliação de um modelo de rede neural para reconhecimento deemoções a partir de biossinais. A pesquisa compreendeu etapas de concepção de um coletor de biossinais, experimentação com voluntários e implementação de uma rede neural para reconhecimento de emoções. O conjunto de emoções tratadas neste estudo englobou felicidade, raiva, tristeza e neutralidade. Foram coletados biossinais de atividade eletrodermal, temperatura periférica e volume de pulso sanguíneode um grupo amostral comporto por 15 sujeitos.

Amicus curiae and the environment

This study seeks to analyze the institute of the amicus curiae within the scope of the Brazilian class action and the principle of popular participation. The question is whether the amicus curiae is an adequate instrument to foster participation and popular control in the environmental class actions. This study takes advantage of the legal-theoretical approach and deductive reasoning, along with a bibliographic research technique.

Registro manual x informatizado: cateter venoso central de inserção periférica (picc) em neonatologia

Objective: To compare the utilization of the manual method used to document the peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement to the proposal of a computerized software tool to record the process in the hospital. Method: This is a descriptive, exploratory study with a quantitative approach, carried out through the application of a score scale to six certified nurses in PICC introduction, who also were working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a maternal-child care reference hospital.

Forensic assessment: the applicability of telemedicine in damage assessment and disability evaluation

Introduction: Telemedicine is a rapidly expanding area, especially in recent months, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Social isolation measures resulting from the pandemic have challenged several medical specialties' performance, including forensic medicine and medical expertise. In this context, we aimed to analyze the use of the telemedicine method in forensic medicine and its applicability in damage assessment and disability evaluation.
