Copper ore production performs great importance in industrial development. In this sense, strategic elements of quality assessment should guide production, impacting the way a company distributes its resources and investments. Considering the practical impossibility of achieving a complete separation of the mineral constituents, obtaining higher contents and better recoveries (product quality) consequently implies an increase in the treatment cost (process quality).

Safety risks with plastic injection machines represent a serious problem in the plastic production chain. Even with the implementation of ABNT NBR 13536/95 to establish the minimum safety requirements for injection molding machines and its subsequent inclusion in the regulatory standard NR 12, there are risks related to work at heights and ergonomics that are not properly specified, especially during maintenance activities of the resin hopper loader or resin color change-over.

Introdução: Os pacientes têm maior probabilidade de adquirir infecções na UTI e a ocorrência dessas acarreta inúmeros problemas, como o retardo na recuperação e piora do quadro clínico existente. This study aims to identify current factors and conditions factors relating to solid wastes produced in rural properties in the city of Pato Bragado, Paraná, Brazil. Este estudo avaliou o desenvolvimento motor com a exposição ao mercúrio e o estado nutricional de escolares em duas regiões hidrográficas do Estado do Pará. Participaram 158 crianças de três escolas, duas na região do Tapajós (A e B) e uma na região do rio Acará (C).

Baropodometric systems are using the area of Artificial Intelgence (AI), more specifically machine learning to classify type and step from data collected by sensors. We observed, in most of the works found in the literature, the use of MLP-type Neural Networks for the classification process, which requires a large amount of data and a high computational cost and processing time.

Seed mass is a physical parameter that, for many species, is directly related to the physiological potential of the seeds and, consequently, to the quality of the resulting seedling. Thus, our research aimed to investigate to what extent the seed mass can influence the physiological potential of the L. ferrea seedlings. The seeds were classified, according to their individual mass, into small (≤ 0.14 g), medium (0.15 ≤ x ≤ 0.19 g), and large (≥ 0.20 g). Initially, the water content and weight of a thousand seeds were determined.
