O objetivo geral deste trabalho foi identificar os medicamentos potencialmente inapropriados para idosos (MPI’s) prescritos a eles em uma Instituição de Longa Permanência para Idosos (ILPI) na cidade de Teresina. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, observacional de natureza transversal e retrospectiva, baseado na coletada de dados de prescrições e prontuários de idosos institucionalizados em uma ILPI do estado de Teresina, através de um instrumento elaborado para este estudo.

The purpose is to analyze the influence of the paternal figure for the handling of breastfeeding. It is about an integrative review, made in the following database: LILACS, MEDLINE and PUBMED, during February and March 2018, with the following guiding question” In what way the paternal figure may influence and/or contribute for the success of breastfeeding?”.The inclusion conditions were: be written in the Portuguese, English or Spanish language; and be fully available and for free.

Fibromyalgia syndrome can be characterized as a chronic, noninflammatory pain syndrome of unknown etiology that manifests itself in the musculoskeletal system. The objective was to verify the efficacy of kinesiotherapeutic activities in relieving symptoms and improving the quality of life of fibromyalgic women. The research is descriptive-experimental nature and of a qualitaiquantitative nature. The sample consisted of 06 women, aged between 30 and 75 years, diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

Este artigo objetiva conhecer a demanda do serviço de Urgência e Emergência em uma Unidade Municipal de Saúde de Belém/PA. Tratando-se de um estudo descritivo (qualitativo e quantitativo) prospectivo de análise de demanda de usuários em uma UMS de Belém/PA. Constatou-se que do total de 422 fichas coletadas (227 - 53,8%) eram do sexo feminino. Em relação a faixa etária de idade observou-se com maior prevalência de distribuição 48,6% - 205 com idade de 18 a 40 anos. prevalência de dor abdominal com total de 42 (56,8%).

The present work aims to analyze, reflect and understand how the insertion of play in the Curriculum of Early Childhood Education and the Political Pedagogical Project can contribute to the good development of mathematics teaching in this type of teaching, as well as highlight relevant conceptions about the applicability of play in the education of children in early childhood.

O objetivo deste estudo consistiu em avaliar os desafios vivenciados pela equipe de enfermagem no atendimento ao paciente crítico na unidade de terapia intensiva. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, exploratório, descritivo com abordagem qualitativa, realizado em Unidades de Terapia Intensiva/Adulto, localizadas em municípios do interior do Ceará, Brasil. A amostra foi composta por 10 membros da equipe de enfermagem.

Objective: To analyze the epidemiological profile of patients with sepsis and the worsening factors in a university hospital. Method: This is an observational, cross-sectional, descriptive and retrospective study with medical records of patients who had a clinical diagnosis of sepsis. It was carried out at the University Hospital of the Universidade Federal do Piaui. Correlated “quick SOFA” score criteria - qSOFA (inpatient unit) and Sequential Organ Failure Assessment - SOFA (Intensive Care Unit), for sepsis. 209 records with sepsis were analyzed during January / 2018 to January / 2019.

The use of domestic wastewater treated for irrigation may become a viable alternative for regions facing water scarcity. The objective of the present work was to evaluate the microbiological quality of bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) BRS-Pontalcultivar submitted to different irrigation depths with treated domestic effluent. The irrigation depths were obtained according to 50, 75, 100 and 125% of the crop evapotranspiration and the concentrations corresponded to 0, 50 and 100% of treated domestic effluent.

This research investigated dynamics of local dwelling culture into cities with a case study of nomadic movements from rural to urban areas which is a result of shortage of grazing land, prolonged drought, livestock diseases and vigor for urban life. The Maasai nomadic pastoral people, were selected to be a window through which reasons associated with nomadic movement to cities and the changed dwelling cultures were found. Case study research method was employed in five urban centers in the Dar es Salaam city, the largest commercial city in Tanzania.

This study aimed to find out the neologism awareness, classroom code-switching and speaking proficiency among eighty (80) Grade 11 students at the Visayas State University (VSU). The first forty (40) respondents answered a survey on neologism awareness. The remaining forty (40) respondents answered a survey questionnaire on classroom code-switching adopted from Olugbara (2008) and a speaking proficiency test from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS, 2017). The study followed a descriptive survey design. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.
