Analysis of the protein content in whey protein dietary supplements

Currently, the consumption of whey protein dietary supplements has been growing. With the increased demand for this product, industries have increasingly developed whey protein-based products. This work aims to analyze the protein content of these products, verifying if the amount of protein found in the labels are truly the ones found in the product. For this verification, five best selling brands were selected on the market and a sample of 200 grams of each product that was submitted to an analysis using the Kjeldahl method was collected.

Physical-chemical and microbiological analysis of waters from moscados stream in Maringá-Brazil

Clandestine dumping of untreated sewage and occasional dumping of waste from works on water bodies is still common. These factors alter water quality and can cause eutrophication, which leads to non-compliance of some parameters in relation to the legislation. Due to these facts, the present study aimed to analyze the physicochemical and microbiological quality of the waters of the Moscados Stream in Maringá / Brazil.

Anatomoclinic considerations in the orotraqueal intubation in cadaveric piece

Introduction: Orotracheal intubation aims to maintain the respiratory process by placing a tube through the oral cavity to the tracheal structure. Because it is an invasive procedure, those who perform the technique must be endowed with theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Objective: To conduct a study on the importance of anatomoclinic in orotracheal intubation in cadaveric specimens. Methodology: This is an exploratory study. We studied female corpse and intubation materials.

State capacity; drivers of corruption and anti-corruption interventions: conceptualising corruption in Indian context- a rational choice approach

This context based study argues that unfair distribution of power; weak anti-corruption enforcement and illegal rent seeking act as drivers that sustain corruption in India. This study shows that the drivers identified in this study can help to conceptualise corruption in Indian context. This study demonstrates that India needs to make sincere efforts to address the drivers that promote and sustain corruption in order to achieve its developmental objectives.

The study highlights the Cenegista Movement presence in Brazil (National Campaign of Free Schools (CNEG in Portuguese), originated from the Recife student movement of 1943, in Pernambuco), during the 1950s, and focuses on Felipe Tiago Gomes' actions, its main representative, in the process of implantation of the CNEG's first center of “Free Gymnasiums” in the State of Bahia's south, in the Cocoa Region.

Parking space management using internet of things

This paper proposes the use of an IoT system as a tool to reduce the time spent searching for parking spaces. The developed system consists of a monitoring prototype, a real- time database and a smartphone application. The monitoring prototype consists of a development board, based on ESP8266 microcontroller and wireless network modules, connected to ultrasonic sensors for monitoring parking spaces. The microcontroller uploads all data to a cloud-hosted database, which lets you identify which parking spaces are available in real time through a smartphone app.

Este artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa conduzida no Laboratório de Pesquisa em Análise de Discurso da Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia sobre as contribuições de Dominique Maingueneau para a análise de discurso religioso no escopo dos estudos Análise de Discurso Francesa. O corpus é composto pelas literaturas escritas pelo autor que abordam as noções de discurso constituinte e discurso literário, procedendo as devidas reconfigurações para fazê-las funcionar no que diz respeito ao discurso religioso.

Zabumbão dam: hydric potential from the perspective of environmental impacts and water management

Water is essential for the maintenance of life on the planet because it is responsible for human and animal survival and the conservation of biodiversity. Its presence or absence describes the historical trajectory of peoples, the occupation of territories, determines habits, cultures, and the future of generations. This article sought to investigate the hydric potential of the Zabumbão dam from the perspective of socio-environmental impacts and water management in the Paramirim-BA region.

Social entrepreneurship and challenges the third sector and difficulty in management

Social entrepreneurship has the power to create, promote and transform the practice of inequality within the social and economic environment, Third Sector Innovations. The objective of this study was to investigate the literature over the past decade, articles that discuss about social entrepreneurship in the third sector, identifying challenges and difficulties faced by ONGs in Brazil. The methodology applied was an integrative approach and qualitative review.
