Health academics working in public schools, Manaus – Amazonas, Brazil: experience report

Health promotion consists of training the population to improve their health conditions and increase their control over them. In addition, it is defined as a combination of educational and environmental support aimed at disseminating information about healthy living habits, passing on knowledge and skills for self-care of health.

A saúde da pessoa albina: nos interstícios dos agravos e prevenções

Objetivo: Analisar a atenção à saúde da pessoa albina, com base nos estudos científicos atualizados. Método: Estudo de revisão integrativa da literatura. Dados foram coletados na Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde, com uso de quatro combinações de descritores, nas bases de dados Medical LiteratureAnalysisandRetrieval System Online, Publicações Médicas, Literatura Latino-Americano e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde e Periódicos Eletrônicos de Psicologia. Foram encontrados 816 artigos. Destes, 806 não atenderam aos critérios de elegibilidade e obteve-se uma amostra de 10 materiais científicos.

Prevalence of burnout syndrome in universities and their associated factors

Objetivo: This study aims to identify the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome and associated factors in college students. Methods: This is a cross-sectional and analytical research conducted with 1553 university students. The sample was of the probabilistic type per cluster. Data were collected by a multiprofessional team through a self-administered questionnaire. In the hierarchical multiple analysis, the Poisson regression model was used.

Effect of the surgical assisted maxillary expansion on the auditory apparatus

Objectives: Surgically Assisted Maxillary Expansion (SAME) is a treatment method used to correct transverse deficiency in the maxillary arch. Various craniofacial areas especially in the areas of articulation of the maxilla could be affected. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of SAME on auditory apparatus. Materials and Methods: A total of 17 patients with complete bone maturation were examined before maxillary expansion (T0), at completion of expansion (T1) and after the retention period (T2).

Autistic spectrum disorder: limitations and difficulties of students

Autistic Spectrum Disorder is characterized mainly by persistent deficits in communication and social interaction in different contexts, in addition to restrictive patterns and repetitive behaviors, which arise from the early stages of neuropsychomotor development. Students with Autism need specialized educational support to contribute to their learning and school development.

Diagnosis of heat islands in a neighborhood of recife and possible impacts on human health

Currently, one of the biggest problems in urban areas is the disturbance of the characteristics of the atmosphere in the urban environment. The main reasons for this occurrence are the substitution of natural elements for artificial elements, such as buildings and soil waterproofing. The natural exchange of heat is prevented by the artificial medium and the characteristics of the region's microclimate are changed. The disorderly growth of urban centers brings discomfort when out of alignment with environmental conditions.

Somatosensory evoked potentials in neurology

The authors present a views and opinions highlighting the role of somatosensory evoked potential and its application in neurology as a non-invasive technique studying the entire length of the afferent pathways, especifically the posterior cord, allowing the detection of subclinical disfunction. This study is very useful in diseases involving the myelin sheath, for monitoring sensory pathways function during surgical procedures has progressively become one of its most important applications.

Avaliação da satisfação no trabalho e dos fatores associados na percepção dos profissionais de enfermagem

Este estudo busca avaliar a satisfação no trabalho e os fatores associados na percepção dos profissionais de enfermagem dos serviços de saúde da rede pública municipal. Estudo cuja coleta de dados foi realizada entre abril e junho de 2016, utilizando um questionário para a obtenção das informações sócio demográficas e o Índice de Satisfação Profissional (ISP). As respostas dos participantes foram codificadas em categorias numéricas, inseridas em banco de dados eletrônico e analisadas pelo programa STATA.

Assistência domiciliar na prevenção de quedas e melhoria da qualidade de vida em idosos: revisão integrativa

Estudo com objetivo de investigar em dez bases de dados da literatura, o que foi publicado nos últimos cinco anos a respeito da assistência domiciliar voltada para a prevenção de quedas e a qualidade de vida da pessoa idosa. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, realizada nas bases: PUBMED/MEDLINE, CINAHL, LILACS, BDENF, SCOPUS, WEB OF SCIENCE, SCIELO, IBECS, CUIDEN e COCHRANE, foram encontrados 30 estudos dos quais oito (08) foram selecionados para amostra final. As publicações ocorreram entre 2016 a 2019, prevalecendo estudos com nível II de evidência.
