Characterization of the social skills repertoire of school adolescents

The premise that deficits in social skills (HS) repertoires are predictive factors for behavior problems in schoolchildren is supported in the scientific literature. HS programs have been shown to be effective in maximizing protection factors for students' personal development and learning. This work is justified by the relevance of HS in personal development and in the influence on mental health and quality of life of adolescents.

Perfil sociodemográfico e epidemilógico dos trabalhadores de enfermagem que se acidentaram com material biológico em um Hospital Univrsitário Federal

Este artigo teve como objetivo caracterizar o perfil sociodemográfico e epidemiológico dos trabalhadores de enfermagem do Pronto Socorro (PS) de um Hospital Universitário. É um estudo epidemiológico, descritivo e quantitativo realizado em julho de 2017. Foram 144 profissionais de enfermagem envolvidos no estudo, com amostra de 105 participantes. Os resultados evidenciaram taxa 31,4% de acidentes, predominando o sexo feminino, 72,7% entre os acidentados, dos quais 66,6% eram casados ou em união estável, com média de idade de 38,6 anos.

Ethical education and artificial intelligence

It is considered that any teaching-learning activity must be ethically conducted, and for that, efforts are necessary to create an environment conducive to the assimilation of the concepts, theories and methods considered indispensable for good coexistence in a democratic, secular and plural society. This perspective is extremely important, as current research aimed at machine learning tries to build intelligent systems, without prejudice, preventing them, for example, from behaving in a racist, sexist or speciesist manner. The discussion of these questions is the aim of this essay.

Exercise programs in rats, such as aerobic exercise and swimming are widely used to identify the benefits of this therapy for the cardiovascular system, this condition implies the need for records that seek evidence of cardiovascular adaptations in animals submitted to physical training. The influence of aquatic therapy on morphological and structural alterations in cardiac my ocytes and electrophysiological and hemodynamic characteristics are not yet clarified in the literature.

Methods for studying microbial biofilm

Microbial biofilms are multicellular community formed by microorganisms as bacteria and/or fungi involved by polymeric substance called extracellular matrix. Pilocytic astrocytoma in preschoolers: case report and discussion of prognosis due to late diagnosis

To report a case of pilocytic astrocytoma of late diagnosis in a preschool child. Results: PA is considered a Grade I tumor on the malignancy scale with low proliferative potential. It has a good prognosis and there is a possibility of cure with complete resection of the tumor. Survival can reach a rate of 94% in 10 years. The diagnostic challenge is great and sometimes late, as the report presented.

O presente artigo versa a respeito das políticas públicas e do crescimento da população indígena no Brasil, fato que tem refletido em elevação quantitativa de pessoas a auto identificar-se como indígenas. A base de dados é do próprio Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE). A captação de dados, por meio da auto identificação aponta que a proporção de pessoas a reconhecer-se indígenas é maior no último Censo em relação aos demais em todas as regiões do País, com destaque para a Região Norte.

Drug interactions in patients affected by cardiovascular disease

This work aims to analyze the possible drug interactions in adults and elderly people with manifest atherosclerotic disease. Fifty patients were enrolled in the multi-center study of the Brazilian Cardioprotective Food Program, UFT, Palmas, Tocantins. The Drugdex (MicroMedex) and Med Tap software databases and the Drug Interactions website were used. We obtained an average of 6.4 medications per individual, and we observed the incidence of clinically relevant interactions such as Clopidogrel with AAS 38% and Enalapril with AAS 26%.
