Perception of children’s caregivers on non-attendance to dental appoitnments in public oral health care system

Objective: Understand the reasons of caregivers for no-show of under-fives to dental treatment in the public health system. Method: The qualitative methodology was used with a sample of caregivers of children who failed to attend scheduled appointment, totaling 18 participants. Semi-structured interviews were conducted, then recorded, transcribed, separated in themes and categorized for later content analysis. Results: The study found that caregivers are often the mothers, who in average have two children and a family monthly income of a minimum wage.

A healthy intestinal microbiota is responsible for maintaining intestinal barrier homeostasis, non-digestible food metabolism, and protection against pathogens. Fluctuations in the composition of the intestinal ecosystem have been associated with several diseases, such as immune-inflammatory disorders, type I and II diabetes, obesity, intestinal infections or inflammation, autism spectrum disorders, as well as related to stress, anxiety, and depression.

Systematic review of obesity control with cannabidiol use: major current aspects

Introduction: There are 2.0 billion overweight and obese people in the world, and Brazil is in fifth place in the world ranking. In this context, a factor associated with an eating disorder is anxiety. In this sense, cannabidiol (CBD) showed anxiolytic, antipsychotic, neuroprotective symptoms, anti-inflammatory, and antiemetic properties. Objective:Wasto analyze through a systematic review the main considerations and results in animal and human models of cannabidiol use in obesity control. Methods: The model followed for the systematic review was PRISMA.

Motivational factors that lead to practice the weight in the elderly: a case study in academies

This paper has as main objectiveanalyze the motivational factors that influence the strength of practice in the elderly. And as specific objectives: identify the socioeconomic and clinical characteristics of the elderly; identify aspects that may influence the elderly in adhering and maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle; to verify the order of importance of the motivational factors for physical activity practice according to the study participants.

Satisfaction with body image between practicing muscle women, functional training and crossfit: a comparative study

Observing small imperfections when you see your mirror image is human. When self-observation translates into non-existent or imperceptible defects, there may be a distortion of body image. The aim of this study was to compare the level of satisfaction with body image among women who practice bodybuilding, functional training and crossfit®. Data collection was done through two questionnaires, adapted from the National Health Survey, to assess body image satisfaction. The Body Shape Questionnaire was translated and adapted to portuguese by Di Pietro, Xavier and Silveira (2003).

Action – research as an hpv knowledge strategy

The HPV is a virus sexually transmitted infection, that reaches both sexes, named also as condiloma acuminata, may cause injuries, and if unattended can cause cervical cancer, being the main cause of many women's death at Belém's Municipality, Pará. This study aimed to analyze the women's knowledge about the virus, answered in a health center. This study consists of the type descriptive with approach qualitative, developed with women answered in a health center at Bengui.

Theoretical study of nursing performance in osteosarcoma cancer

To analyze nursing performance in the care of osteosarcoma cancer patients. Methodology: Integrative literature review study conducted from the survey and bibliographic analysis in scientific journals, following the recommendations to increase the level of transparency in the review reports, using the Main Items for Reporting Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyzes (PRISMA), from the search for the descriptors “osteosarcoma”, “cancer” and “nursing”, which resulted in 14 studies included in the sample.

Factors that influence compliance with the treatment of the hypertensive patient in a basic health unit

Objective: to identify factors that hinder adherence to the treatment of hypertension. Method: This is a descriptive, exploratory, quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 30 patients who underwent treatment at the basic health unity; patients over 18 years of age enrolled in the unit were included; patients with some neuropsychiatric deficiency were excluded. To collect data, a semi-structured questionnaire was used to evaluate the level of knowledge of the population about the pathology and to measure adherence to the treatment.

Distribuição espacial e temporal da tuberculose em povos indígenas no estado do maranhão

Objetivo: Analisar a distribuição espacial e temporal dos casos novos de tuberculose em indígenas no Estado do Maranhão. Métodos: Estudo ecológico de série histórica (2010-2014) dos casos novos de tuberculose em indígenas no Maranhão notificados no Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN). Os resultados encontrados, após o georreferenciamento dos casos, foram apresentados em mapas temáticos elaborados no Sistema de Informação Geográfica (SIG), ArcGis, versão 10.1.
