Determination of the toxicity of phytotherapic formulations used as energisers marked in establishments of victory – conquest natural products

Obesity control is of public health interest in Brazil and the use of herbal formulations is an acceptable therapeutic resource as they are considered safe, effective and less harmful to health. In this context, the objective of the study was to evaluate the toxicity of six phytotherapeutic formulations with weight loss potential commercialized in the city of Vitória da Conquista - Bahia, using the bioassay Alliumcepa. Formulations marketed in capsules from six different manufacturers and the methodology performed in quintuplicate were analyzed.

An overall scenario of mid day meal in India across different states over time

With the twin objective of improving health of poor children and imparting formal education to these children, the Government of India started Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government primary schools. The purpose of the government to a great extent has been an initiative to increase the attendance rate and also promote socialization values. Despite all achievements, many problems have been encountered in the implementation of this scheme. Some major drawbacks have also been identified.

Music perception of patients in the preoperative period

Objective: To know the music perception of patients in the preoperative period. M: this is a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study carried out in a hospital located in the Triângulo Mineiro region with 12 patients hospitalized, using a semi-structured interview as technique. Results: based on thematic content analysis and help of the Iramute Q software, two thematic units were constructed, entitled: Mediated Relation - music as a therapeutic element and Music and the transcendental dimension.

Quality of life of people living with leishmaniasis: an integrative literature review

Although common in the tropics, leishmaniasis is a neglected disease. It is caused by the intracellular protozoan species Leishmania.The disease is transmitted by a phlebotomine vector and presents different clinical manifestations: cutaneous and visceral. The latter pose imminent risk of death depending on the clinical condition of the affected person. This research is a descriptive, integrative review about the quality of life of people living with leishmaniasis.

Interactions between striatal dopamine and adenosine receptors: effects of aminophylline on a pharmacological model of parkinson's disease

Parkinson's disease is primarily an extrapyramidal motor function disorder caused by severe degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra. Current treatment for Parkinson's disease is based on dopaminergic therapy to reverse the effects of striatal dopamine depletion induced by nigro-striatal pathway destruction. The study of new therapies for Parkinson's disease focuses on non-dopaminergic systems inside the basal nuclei that go beyond injured nigrostriatal pathways.

Percepção de pais e professores de pré-escolares sobre o desenvolvimento de linguagem infantil

Introdução: Os primeiros anos de vida são decisivos para a aquisição e desenvolvimento da linguagem oral. Objetivo: Comparar o conhecimento de pais e professoras de pré-escolares sobre o desenvolvimento de linguagem oral. Método: Pesquisa de caráter transversal, com análise quantitativa, sendo a amostra composta por 8 professoras e 221 paisde crianças na faixa etária de 2 a 5 anos. Os participantes responderam a um questionário semiestruturado sobre a aquisição e desenvolvimento da linguagem oral. Foi realizada análise estatística por meio do teste de McNemar.

Parents/guardians’ knowledge about hpv vaccine and its influence on children immunization: an integrative Literature review

Introduction: In recent years, several countries have implemented national HPV vaccination programs for girls and, more recently, boys. Factors related to parental acceptance of the vaccine include family characteristics, access to medical care, social and environmental factors; child characteristics and parental specific factors, among others. Objective: To evaluate the evidence available in the literature about the knowledge of parents/guardians about HPV and whether it influences the consent of vaccination to their children.

Interventions for sexual dysfunction in women with breast cancer: a systematic review

Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of interventions performed in women with breast cancer for the improvement of sexual dysfunction. Materials and Methods: This was a systematic review of the literature following the PRISMA guidelines. Bibliographical searches were carried out in the Medline, LILACS, Ibecs, BDenf, Scopus, Web of Science and CINAHL databases.

Immunization against human papillomavirus (hpv): knowledge of parents/guardians

Objective: To analyze the knowledge of parents/guardians about the HPV vaccine. Materials and methods: This is an observational, descriptive and quantitative study, conducted in municipal schools located in Belém-PA, Brazil; from april to june 2019. It consisted by the application of a questionnaire with 18 closed questions divided in two parts. Results: The study consisted of 363 parents/guardians. Most are between 31-40 years old, are female, have completed high school, are single, have 2-3 children, are evangelical and have a family income between 1 and 2 minimum wages.

The challenges of late replantation of avulsed permanent teeth: literature review

The objective of the present study was to address, by means of a literature review, the possible and most common consequences and complications of late permanent tooth replantation in patients who suffered dental avulsion. For this, a search for scientific articles was performed, covering case reports, systematic reviews and literature review. Articles published in the last 11 years were included, except for the inclusion of classic works on the subject and a textbook from the main Pubmed, Scielo and Google Schoolar databases.
