Fatores de risco maternos para toxoplasmose numa maternidade pública do nordeste do brasil

Introduction: Vertical transmission by Toxoplasma gondii usually occurs in women who are infected for the first time during pregnancy. Screening for toxoplasmosis during pregnancy is one of the measures adopted in our country as a form of prevention. Objective: To investigate maternal risk factors associated with gestational toxoplasmosis in a large maternity hospital located in Fortaleza-Ceará. Methodology: This is an observational, quantitative comparative study conducted in a federal public maternity hospital located in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil in 2014.

Repercussions of vascular ulcers on the personal, social and economic dimensions through patient discourse

Objective: To analyze the repercussions of vasculogenic ulcers on the personal, social and economic dimensions through discourse of patients. Method: Descriptive, exploratory study with a qualitative approach, realized at the João Pereira dos Santos Polyclinic, located in the city of Barbalha, Ceará, Brazil.The sample was composed of 08 patients with vasculogenic ulcers. The instrument used was a structured interview script, and the speeches of participants were recorded and transcribed in full.

Ética e legislação na formação de enfermeiros: concepção dos docentes

O presente estudo visou identificar as concepções de docentes do curso de graduação em enfermagem de uma universidade, localizada em Belém-PA, sobre a abordagem da dimensão da ética e legislação em enfermagem na formação do enfermeiro, com base nas relações estabelecidas entre essa dimensão, as competências e o perfil profissional exigido pelas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais. Para tal, foram entrevistados 20 docentes, através de um questionário semiestruturado.

As hemoglobinopatiasrepresentam uma das mais frequentes patologias genéticas e hematológicas que acometem os seres humanos. Dentre elas, a anemia falciforme (AF) é responsável por 1% das mortes maternas. Através de estudo exploratório, foi realizadapesquisa de revisão de literatura, com foco na morbidade e mortalidade materna e fetal das mulheres portadoras de AF.O seu diagnóstico, exige uma assistência à saúde qualificada, no pré-natal e pós-parto.

Práticas integrativas e complementares no conteúdo programático dos estudantes de psicologia: relato de experiência docente

Objetivo: Descrever na experiência docente a inserção da temática das Práticas Integrativas e Complementares como conteúdo programático para o curso de Psicologia. Método: Estudo com abordagem qualitativa, de carater descritivo, do tipo relato de experiência. A vivência se deu no período letivo referente à 2018.2, direcionado ao curso de Psicologia, na disciplina Ênfase II: Saúde mental & Práticas de Cuidado territorial, especificamente para o 9º semestre, conforme a grade do curso.

Introduction: Orotracheal intubation aims to maintain the respiratory process by placing a tube through the oral cavity to the tracheal structure. Because it is an invasive procedure, those who perform the technique must be endowed with theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Objective: To conduct a study on the importance of anatomoclinic in orotracheal intubation in cadaveric specimens. Methodology: This is an exploratory study. We studied female corpse and intubation materials.

Gestational syphilis: epidemiological profile in belém of pará from 2014 to 2018

The Health Ministry highlights in Brazil around 50 thousands parturient are diagnosed with gestational syphilis, according these numbers, 12 thousands babies who lives births present congenital syphilis, therefore, it is important to have an appropriate prenatal with syphilis pregnant woman, because the probability is 40% percent to the pregnantunborn child who has diagnosed with syphilis and does not do any treatment stillborn or to develop some congenital issues, even the diagnoses are early or late.

Endolymphatic sac tumors’: a surgical dilemma – to operate or not?

AIM: To aid decision making in Endolymphatic Sac Tumors (EST) with respect to surgical resection versus conservative care with stringent clinical observation. Methods: Our experience of a single case of EST managed conservatively after adequate pathological and radiological assessment. We have reviewed isolated case reports and case series in literature with most cases being managed with surgical resection. Results: Conservative treatment is an option in cystic variants of EST and where the morbidity with surgery outweighs the suspected future clinical deterioration.

Can megalith of wharton’s duct be treated in outpatient department? a rare case

Introduction: Sialolithiasis is a common salivary gland disease most commonly occurring in submandibular gland. Calculi more than15 mm in size are considered giant or megalith. This case report describes a megalith of Wharton’s duct in 70 years old male, its pathophysiology and subsequent patient management. To our knowledge there are very few cases of megalith of such size has been described and sialolith presented in our study is perhaps the largest ever reported to date so far in the literature.

Epidemio-clinical profile of depressions seen at the psychiatric usfr (hjrb) and at the mental health section (eusspa) antananarivo

Introduction: Depression is one of the five most common diseases in the world, with a high degree of mortality related to suicide risk and also accompanied by a high degree of disability, depression is the main cause of DALY. Its clinical presentation differs according to the culture. Our study aims to describe its clinical presentation in Madagascar. Methods and patients: It is a prospective, observational and descriptive study over a 10-month period, from July 2013 to April 2014. 98 patients were retained.
