Prenatal paternal in the perception of the couple

Objective: To describe the perception of the couple about the importance of performing the prenatal care of the partner and how its role is given during the prenatal, childbirth and postpartum period. Methods: This was a field study, of a descriptive type with a qualitative approach, a field research of exploratory character was carried out. This research was carried out in a health unit (UBS) located in the Guanabara neighborhood, Ananindeua, Pará, Brazil, from September to October 2018. With five pregnant couples accompanied in prenatal care.

Fatores que facilitam e dificultam a migração de enfermeiros no cenário de mercado de trabalho: revisão integrativa

The present study aimed to identify the main facilitators and difficulties related to the migration of nurses, found in the national and international literature, in the last five years. This is an integrative review, with search of articles published in the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences databases, Public/Publish Medline and Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, which resulted in the selection of thirty-three articles to compose the synthesis matrix.

Orotraqueal intubation in formalized cadavers: observational study

Introduction: Orotracheal intubation allows air to pass into the airways and is effective in patients with airway involvement. However, improper administration of the tube can lead to irreversible damage to the patient. Thus, proper training in cadavers provides mastery over the maneuvers and knowledge of the structures involved in order to achieve greater success in the procedure.

Crianças e adolescentes que convivem com a violência entre parceiros íntimos no ambiente familiar

Introduction: Intimate partner violence (IPV) also exposes children when they live with aggressive parents. Every act of violence comprises an attack on human dignity, especially against children and adolescents. Objective: The aim of this paper is to get to know and analyze the scientific evidence about the experiences of children and adolescents in the face of intimate partner violence (parents) in the domestic environment. Method: This is an Integrative Review with data from electronic databases (VHL Portal, Pubmed and PsycoInfo) from 2013 to 2017.

The use of realistic simulation as a basic support teaching strategy for high school students: report on extension activities in the Brazilian Amazon

Introduction: Report experience using realistic simulation as a basic life support teaching strategy for high school students. Method: Report of an extension activity, linked to the extension project “Realistic Simulation in Urgency and Emergency” of the Universidade da Amazonia (UNAMA), held from April 5 to June 29, 2018, with students from public and middle schools. Belém Metropolitan Region, State of Pará, Brazil. Results: In total, five educational interventions were carried out, using as a teaching strategy the realistic simulation of basic life support maneuvers.

Optical coherence tomography angiography findings in chronic central serous chorioretinopathy after photodynamic therapy

The authors are commenting on the study entitled “Optical coherence tomography findings in chronic central serous chorioretinopathy after photodynamic therapy” published in Ophthalmic Surg Lasers Imaging Retina 2019;50(1):25-32. The study concluded that optical coherence tomography angiography may provide new insights into the pathogenesis of chronic central serous chorioretinopathy, namely in identifying a correlation between structures of the deep choroid and changes in the retinal pigment epithelium and neurosensory retina.

Women with mental suffering and motherhood: thematic verbal history

Objective: Display stories of women with mental suffering on the experiences of motherhood. Method: A descriptive, exploratory research with qualitative approach, performed in a Psychosocial Care Center in the countryside of a state of northeastern Brazil. The production of material occurred by means of interviews with six collaborators, using questions from a cohort based on theoretical assumptions of Oral History Theme.

Functional assessment of elderly patients with stroke sequels in the family health strategy

Stroke stands out as one of the major health concerns not only because it is a major cause of death but also the sequelae left, especially in the elderly population. This article aims to evaluate the functionality of elderly people with stroke in the Family Health Strategy (FHS). This is a descriptive quantitative research, conducted in 14 FHS units in the urban area of Cajazeiras, State of Paraíba. The sample consisted of 65 elderly with stroke sequelae in that municipality and the research was conducted from February to April 2014.

Introduction: Immunization is a health prevention program designed to combat infectius diaseases.Considered to be cost-effective and effective, are particularly important in developing countries, whict have poor health conditions and resources for public health actions, it is the responsibility of the nurse advises mothers on the benefits of vaccines and avoiding avoidance. Objective: it was to investigate the difficulties that mothers face in keeping the childhood immunization schedule up to date, based on this information, strategies that can reduce circumvention can be developed.
