Background: Forensic nursing is an innovative and evolving nursing specialty that seeks to address healthcare issues that have a medico-legal component and an example of a nursing role that is rapidly increasing in its scope of practice. The clinical forensic nurse investigator documents, secures and preserves evidence while providing forensic consulting services to clients and interdisciplinary partners in healthcare and law-related agencies.

Descriptive and qualitative study that aimed to describe the experiences of mothers with autism and its implications for nursing care. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 09 mothers of children with autism from March to May 2016, at the Child and Youth Psychosocial Care Center of Iguatu, Ceará. The data were analyzed in light of the technique of the discourse of the collective subject. The results showed that adapting to autism is a tiresome and difficult, and sometimes painful task. For many mothers to have an autistic child means renouncingtheir professional and social life.

Over the past decade, Brazil has experienced a growth in the number of deaths of patients infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus. In addition, the Brazilian government's response to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus and to the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome has proved to be inefficient, contributing to the growing emergence of new cases. Researchers have sought to fill in the gaps related to this disease.

This review explores evidence on Chinese men’s transitioning to fatherhood in mainland China to identify its impacts and related predictors. Due to the complex and broad nature of this topic, a scoping review was selected to carry on a search and explanation of the literature. The search returned 68 articles, and 10 met the inclusion criteria. This review demonstrated that for Chinese men living in mainland China, transitioning to fatherhood can have impacts on their self-feelings and mental health.

The aim was to identify the beliefs emitted by uncontrolled hypertensive individuals related to adherence to prescribed drug therapy. A cross-sectional study was performed with 122 hypertensive patients admitted to a 24-hour Emergency Service, both genders, aged over 18 years, with pressure values greater than or equal to 140x90 mmHg, from June to July 2017. The variables surveyed were: sociodemographic data, adherence score measured by the Morisk Green scale and treatment-related beliefs, identified according to the Theory of Rational Action (TRA) constructs.

Aim–The aim of this study was to evaluate the dentinal tubule occluding ability of Novamin (bioactive glass) containing desensitizing dentifrices using scanning electron microscope. Materials and Methods – Forty-five 1mm thick dentine discs were obtained from orthodontically extracted human premolar teeth. Each disc was then split into two halves producing a total of 90 dentine specimens. One half of each disc was allotted to Group -1(Control group) and the other half was allotted to group-2 (Test group). GROUP 1: brushed without dentifrices.

Este artigo apresenta como objetivo geral analisar o papel do enfermeiro na assistência ao idoso acometido pela doença de Alzheimer e, como objetivos específicos descrever os desafios do enfermeiro na assistência ao idoso com Alzheimer. Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura, realizada a partir da consulta à Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e das bases de dados Scientif Eletronic Library online (Scielo), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (Lilacs). A coleta de dados ocorreu no período de 20 de março a 16 de julho de 2017.

For the release of the 18F-Fludesoxyglucose radiopharmaceutical in humans, one of the tests required in its official monograph present in the American pharmacopeia is the determination of the chemical purity. This test consists of a process of quantification of the analyte Kryptofix 2.2.2, using the realization of a limiting assay, developed in thin layer chromatography. To prove the reliability of the results obtained, the centers producing radiopharmaceuticals should promote the validation of the analytical methods used in quality control by the relevant legislation in the country.

Objective: To characterize the clinical aspects of elderly people assisted by Family Health Strategy. Methods: Descriptive and quantitative research carried out in the period from August to December 2015 in three basic health units with sample of 355 elderly people, with Mini Mental State Examination scored above 19 points. Data were collected through a semi-structured instrument and stored in a specific database in Excel Program®. Results: Regarding the lifestyle, they are sedentary, not smokers or drinkers.
