Whole screening analysis discerning recurrently diagnosed diseases in a northern locality of Côte D’ivoire

Background: a correct interpretation as regards public health data represents a valid parameter in preventing community diseases. Here, we evaluated the epidemiological situation in a northern area of Côte d’Ivoire. Methods: for this purpose, health condition data apropos 906adult patients, from year 2015 to year 2016 were collected at the Regional Hospital of Korhogo. To make straightforward statistical analysis, diagnosed pathologies were clustered in eleven categories.

Assess the effectiveness of self esteem training to improve the self esteem and coping stratagies among orphans in st.aloysious orphanage home, Dharapuram

Self esteem of the orphan children and the children living with their parents are different. The children in orphanages reported lower degree of self esteem than the children living with their parents. The study was evaluative approach. The research design used for the study was pre experimental one group pre test and post test design. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the 100 samples. Pre test data was collected by self administered questionnaire using 4 point likert scale. In that 33 boys and 67 girls had low self esteem with inadequate coping.

Nutritional composition of merremia aegyptia, calotropis procera, and senna uniflora for use as green manure in different types of soils

We assessed the nutritional composition of Merremia aegyptia, Calotropis procera, and Senna uniflora for use as green manure in different soil types. Soil and plant samples were collected at four sites in the municipality of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, from May to June 2014. The experimental design was a completely randomized factorial design (4 x 3) with four replications.

Precursor factors of the use of alcohol and psychoactive substances by students of a public school

The use of psychoactive substances is a public health problem, considering the magnitude and diversity of aspects involved. Being in general adolescence the first contact, since it is the age group of greater vulnerability for experimentation and abusive use of these substances. Vulnerability, in general, is related to factors inherent to youth such as omnipotence, seeking new experiences, being accepted by the group, independence, family and social structure challenge, psychosocial and existential conflicts, and aspects related to the family.

Methodology: This was a cross-sectional quantitative study, which CES-D scale to analyze the domains and their items, with a sample of 228 questionnaires, applied to caregivers of elders enrolled in the Family Health Program of the Sanitary District IV, having as inclusion criterion age above 28 years and at least 10 years living with the elder.

Objective: To identify the epidemiological profile of leprosy among children and teenagers in a Family Health Unit in the city of Recife-State of Pernambuco, in the last 4 years. Method: The present study was composed of 16 medical records of children and adolescents who were or are being treated for leprosy in the years 2010 to 2013, being of the document, and exploratory, retrospective type with a quantitative approach, carried out in April/2014.

Aim of the study: Assess the level of stress among school teachers in selected schools at Vellore Background: Stress has touched almost all professions posing threat to mental and physical health. Teachers especially working at university level are under a great deal of stress related to various occupational stressors. The occupational stressors occur due to various factors and it has greater ill effect on the physical and mental health of the teachers thus the study is clearly focuses on identifying stress level of teachers to promote early detection and positive management for stress.

Profile of users served in the triagem sector of a 24 hour emergency service unit

Objective was to draw the profile of the users served in the in the triagem sector of a 24 hour emergency service unit. Method: descriptive quantitative study with application of semi-structured form to 417 users in screening sector from January to July 2015. Results: it was evidenced: 63.1% were female, the age group 20-30 was predominant (24.9%), the night shift (34.6%) stood out in the visits and 80.6% came of Campina Grande. The main complaint of a headache 12.3%. As for the history of chronic diseases, 21.1% were hypertensive and 10.1% were diabetic.
