Factors associated with tooth caries development in foreign academics of a Brazilian university

The study aimed to identify the factors associated with caries development in foreign individuals recently admitted to a Brazilian university. This is a cross-sectional, analytical and quantitative study conducted between 2017 and 2018 at the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony. A questionnaire was applied, addressing the themes: socioeconomic and demographic aspects; self-perception and oral hygiene habits; behaviors in oral health and cariogenic diet. Carious, lost and obturated teeth (DMFT index) and salivary pH were quantified.

Active methodologies in the process of health education: tools used by nurses in preventing human papillomavirus in a municipal school in ananindeua, Pará, Brazil

Educators are keystones to the development of critical and skilled citizens, contributing to the maintenance and quality of life of the students and the community. In this sense was created in school Health program which aims at integrating education and health through trained professionals about the actions of health education.

Fair play and contractual practices in contemporaneity

The Fair Play Financial is a control that UEFA has created in favor of having a more ethical football, with more balanced competitions, that the financial power interferes in the sport spirit of the soccer. In view of this situation, this study has as a research problem to investigate the influence of financial fair play in contemporary contractual practices, highlighting football competitions. The principle of good faith in its application in this current context in order to balance demands and make these competitions fairer, emphasizing ethics in sport and achieving a greater balance.

The study of analytical for evolution of real times in quantum mechanic for gauge theory for quarks-gluons plasma with su (3) with antiperiodic conditions group by using perturbation theory

We take the effective Hamiltonian operator until the four degree[3] and this operator has enabled us to convert from pure gauge theory with group SU(3)With antiperiodic conditions into the quantum mechanics with the group SU(3) With antiperiodic conditionsand this mean physically we have converted from the study of an infinite number of particles and of freedom degrees (quarks- gluens-plasma) into study of eight particles (Global)independent of space that mainsTwenty-four of freedom degrees and specificallyTwenty-four inharmonic oscillators and after that we apply perturbation theory (that

Characterization of equino athlete in different competitions

Presently, equinoculture has presented great world and national prominence due to the competitions. With efficient genetic selection, a wide diversity of equine breeds have originated, with characteristics increasingly suitable for different types of competitions, aiming at acquiring the best results in the tracks. However, excluding breed, factors such as sex and live weight may also influence the performance of equine athletes. This study was aimed to evaluate the performance of horses of different breeds, ages and weights in different equestrian tests in the South of Brazil.

Estudo da resistência do concreto em altas temperaturas utilizando cinza da queima de madeira

The objective of this work was to study the compressive strength of test specimens with sand percentages substituted by wood ash under normal conditions and in periods of exposure to high temperatures. As currently the amount of waste deposited in nature is high, and these residues can be used as additives for concrete, reducing the disposal of these materials in nature, when added to the concrete can reduce the need for sand without affecting the mechanical properties, also reduce the demand for the extraction of sand from the natural deposits, thus reducing the environmental impact.

Educational platform to test automation systems in combustion engines

Laboratory practices are important components of any engineering curriculum. The laboratory is an important tool for the engineer to the student makes possible the learning of practical aspects of their profession. Several discussions on types of experiments, correlation between laboratory and class work, importance of the laboratory in the general curriculum and others. It has been a general consensus that laboratories are essential and should be included in the curriculum.

Hormesis effect of 2, 4- dichlorophenoxiacetic acid in soy seeds

Herbicides of the auxin mimic group, such as 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic (2,4-D), at low dosages may show a direct relation to the growth and development of the plant, in order to evaluate the influence of the different dosages of this plant herbicide in soybean (Glycine max) crop. The seeds were treated with fungicides and insecticides and then with 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic dimethylamine salt and inoculated. The experimental design was completely randomized (DIC), composed of five treatments with eight replicates, using seeds without inoculant and with inoculant of Bradyrhizobium sp.

LPG leakage detection system using phone calls alerts to prevent accidents and avoid injuries

This paper presents a system to improve the security of houses and properties that uses LPG gas. Given its flammability, an alarm system is strongly advised. To solve this issue, we house owner in a matter of seconds, at the beginning of a gas leak. Our system deals with limitations on Internet connectivity, using a clever solution to this problem.

Effect OF NaCl in cloud point of nonionic surfactants and adsorption behavior for chemical flooding in enhanced oil recovery

Surfactants are widely used in enhanced oil recovery, due to its chemical properties, like reduction of the interfacial tension between two immiscible liquids. For nonionic surfactants, the cloud temperature is an aspect important to be evaluated, since above this temperature an initially homogenous surfactant solution separates into two phases, losing their proprieties. This work evaluates cloud temperature, critical micelle concentration and adsorption for solutions of nonionic surfactant with different concentrations of NaCl, used in enhanced oil recovery.
