Characterization of the atmosphere to the passage of squall lines at dakar from 1968 to 2006

By performing a composite analysis of the vertical profile of humidity, temperature and wind on the basis of radiosounding data and rain gauge Dakar Yoff (Senegal) at 14 ° 44 N and 17 ° 30 W, in the period 1968-2006, we studied exchanges water, heat and momentum within the squall line (SL) and between it and its immediate environment. A similar analysis has been performed with the re-analysis of NCEP / NCAR for the period 1981-1995 for the specific humidity at a grid point near Dakar (15° N and 17 ° 30 W).

Teaching of chemical solutions framed with the theme saneante

The teaching of chemistry in actuality should provide students with a critical view on the various chemical phenomena that surround it, so you will be able to relate what is discussed in the classroom with your own experience. This association, by means of contextualization, facilitates the understanding and allows the students to be active agents in the construction of knowledge.

Sustainable practices: recycling of biomass of eichhornia crassipes in the production of briquettes

The search for alternative energy sources has driven many researches in the whole world. In this sense this study aimed to investigate the production of briquettes from biomass of the aquatic macrophyte Eichhornia crassipes, more commonly known as water hyacinth. The aguapé is taken as a species is harmful to the environment due to its rapid growth in ponds, in some cases reaching to cover the entire surface of the lakes. This fact prevents the passage of light and affect the oxygenation of the water.

Overcoming stress before compete with hiking and soaking in the river

Stress is a subjective experience based on a person's perception of the situation someone faced or a pressing situation. How to deal with stress in athletes on preparation for a variety of ways. This study to intend determine the effect of hiking and soaking in the river on the stress level of athletes in preparation for the match. The research plan used a quasi-experimental design of non equivalent pre-test and post-test control group designs. Respondents were taken by purposive technique methodnumbers to 30 respondents from martial arts and games.

Smart cities and it governance: an analysis of the Brazilian federal government project called my smart city

This paper analyzes the application of IT Governance (ITG) principles in 282 Brazilian cities participating in the federal government project named "My Smart City". It will analyze the development of public policies from the Brazilian federal government towards its cities seeking to modernize the management and promote the development through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). The methodological aspects of this study were based on documentary analysis of qualitative and quantitative nature, descriptive statistics, cluster and correlation techniques.

Effect of pu concentration on development of water based polyurethane coated polyester

The coating and lamination gives a powerful tool for the advancement of textile technology. It provides the opportunities to produce the special fabrics like water-proof resistant tarpaulins, coverings, large tents. Waterproof breathable fabrics are one of the harsh weather fabrics that protect the wearer without hampering their efficiency. Garments made from such fabrics keep away water from entering and wetting the body but allow the passage of air and moisture. The passage of water vapour from the garment makes it breathable and hence comfortable.

Visiting restricted areas of a nuclear facility via a virtual reality simulator

The Instituto de Engenharia Nuclear (IEN) is a nuclear research facility whose main research lines comprehend non-destructive essays with thermal neutrons in biology, industry, environment and national public security. IEN is a restricted areas access composed by several laboratories, a particle accelerator and a nuclear research reactor known as the Argonauta.

Health risk behavior excels in high socioeconomic class among adolescents

Objective: to estimate the prevalence of risk behaviors to health and its association with sociodemographic characteristics among adolescents. Materials and Methods: Socioeconomic information and health risk behaviors were collected from 2207 adolescents enrolled in public schools in Sergipe State, Northeastern, Brazil. Results: Females were associated with low levels of physical activity (PR=1.19; IC95%=1.15 – 1.24) and more than two hours watching TV (PR=1.07; IC95%=1.01-1.14).

A study on proximate mineral composition of plantain (musa paradisiaca) wastes; a potential nutritive source in the formulation of animal feeds

Plantain fruit constitute an important source of energy as a staple diet in the tropics. The peel of the fruit is discarded as waste after the edible portion is eaten; thereby constituting a menace to the environment, especially where its consumption is common, while the bracts are left on the farm as wastes. This research work has comprehensively investigated the presence of proximate mineral composition and secondary metabolites in the Musa Paradisiaca bract waste by using standard methods of AOAC.

Analysis of alternative current field detection signals based on complex surface defects

Alternating Current Filed Measurement (ACFM) and Alternating Current Magnetic Flux Leakage (AC-MFL) method have been widely used in engineering practice. They both use U-shaped yoke probes and are basically the same in the probe and signal processing. In actual inspection, the shape of the defect is usually complicated, and a single defect or several defects may occur at the same time. Multiple defects may appear as cross-shaped cross cracks, round-hole defects, and parallel cracks.
