Burden of non-communicable diseases on two different division of uttarakhand: Adult health indicator

Background: About 61% of deaths in India are attributed to Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).The distribution of NCDs amongst different regions of the state represents adult health status and has its social, political and economic implications. In the present study, we evaluate health status with an objective to compare distribution of NCDs between the two regions of Uttarakhand: Garhwal and Kumaun. Material and Methods: The study was carried out from the secondary data source i.e. NFHS-4 data of Uttarakhand which is divided into two regions, Garhwal and Kumaun.

Prevalence of exercise-induced bronchospasm among athletes in the hot and humid climate of Brazzaville, Congo

Background: This study aims to determine the prevalence of EIB in high-level Congolese athletes acclimated to hot and humid air conditions. Materials and Methods: The study involved 18 high-level athletes training in an environment relatively polluted. The stress test consisted of a continuous running treadmill warm-up set at 7.5 km.h-1, followed by an endurance race incremented by 1.5 km.h-1 every 3 minutes until exhaustion. Respiratory function examinations were performed at rest, at the end of the exercise test and at 5-minute increments for 25 minutes.

Comprehensive study of the food ecology of macrobrachium macrobrachion (herklots, 1851) in Cote D’ivoire

Expanding knowledges of the food ecology of Macrobrachium macrobrachion is the main purpose of this research. It permited to complete our knowledges of the distribution of this shrimp in natural habitats. These knowledges will also facilitate its reproduction in the breeding environment. Shrimps were caught monthly between September 2015 and august 2016. They come from an experimental dip net fishery. The study of the diet focused on 77 specimens. The results obtained revealed that this species consumes both animal and plant prey.

Protocol designed with enhanced power saving features along with increased throughput for mobile adhoc network

Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is an autonomous system of mobile nodes connected by wireless links. The nodes are free to move about and organize themselves into a network. These nodes change position frequently. To accommodate the changing topology special routing algorithms are needed.

Thermodynamic investigation of the hydrogen production by steam reforming of the biogas from manipueira

The use of renewable energy has become a necessary alternative to reduce the emission of polluting gases in the atmosphere. Hydrogen is a promising alternative fuel and its use has increased in the last decade. There are different ways of producing hydrogen, however there are few reports in the literature on the production of biohydrogen using waste water from the processing of cassava (manipueira). This study discusses the exergetic efficiency of the biohydrogen production using a large factory production plant using the HYSYS process simulation software (version 8.0).

Profile re-victimized women by violence domestic in the municipality of santarém – pará

In Brazil, violence is a behavior that generates a lot of concern in all its aspects and has indiscriminately affects all social classes, generation, and is seen as a highly complex problem with regard to solving them. Big data analytics in health informatics

Big Data analytics in healthcare is emerging as a promising field and is most trusted technology today that is used to determine significant insights of huge data sets with minimized costs and improved results. Big data is defined as very large volume of high velocity, complex and variable data that needs innovative techniques to enable the data or information capture, storing, dissemination, management and analysis. The data volume of healthcare systems in enormous and is gaining fast momentum with respect to almost every area of research as well as industry.

Statistical analysis of export price volatility of oil seed in Ethiopia

Ethiopian oil seeds and pulses are mostly organically produced, and are known for their flavor and nutritional value. The aim of this study is to model the export price volatility of oil seed Ethiopia using GARCH model. The data used are monthly observations of the export price of oil seed, food price index, import fuel oil price and exchange rate from January 1998 to June 2013. Unit root tests of the series under study reveal that all the series are non-stationary at level and stationary after first difference.

Service based data handling in mobile cloud computing

Mobile cloud computing is one of major mobile technology trends in the future, since it is the combination of both mobile computing and cloud computing. The mobile cloud computing is trendy because of its effectiveness in mobility of the devices. So, the target to design the Service based Data Handling over Mobile Cloud Computing (SDHMCC) is to provide rich mobile computing through seamless communication between front-users (cloud-mobile users) and end-users (cloud providers) regardless of heterogeneous databases situated at cloud environment.

Incidence of leprosy in the Brazilian Amazon region and its analogy in relation to Brazilian municipalities: a sociodemographic analysis using Bayesian networks

Considering the importance of studying the incidence of leprosy and the scarcity of studies that evaluate the occurrence of this phenomenon in the Brazilian Amazon region in relation to the Brazil, this study aimed to analyse the association between leprosy incidence and the municipal indicators of education, income and domicile population density, comparing municipalities of the Amazon region to those of the whole country.
