Gas detection sensors using mems-a review

A gas detector is a device that detects the presence of gases in an area, often as part of a safety system. This type of equipment is used to detect a gas leak or other emissions and can interface with a control system so a process can be automatically shut down. A gas detector can sound an alarm to operators in the area where the leak is occurring, giving them the opportunity to leave. This type of device is important because there are many gases that can be harmful to organic life, such as humans or animals.

Conscious sedation with nitrous oxide in anxious children: a review

Introduction: During clinical practice, we can find patients with physical and mental behaviors who are not able to co-operate with dental care. Among them the anxiety and immaturity of children, which are the most frequent in the care. In order for us to achieve ease, safety and tranquility for the development of procedures, we may choose to use conscious sedation through premedication or sedation with nitrous oxide / oxygen. Thus, they are used in an adequate way so as not to compromise the patient's health. It is considered effective and great for pediatric treatments.

Risk of maternal mortality using relative risk ratios obtained from poisson regression analysis

This paper highlights the importance of carrying out a meta-analysis in epidemiologic research of a non-common outcome without the loss of study/ies due to insufficient data. A good number of researches have adequately covered common disease outcomes in a meta-analysis, however, non-common disease outcomes have not been well determined.

Winter sprouting index of sugarcane genotypes is a measure of winter ratooning ability

Introduction: The low temperature prevails during winter season in the subtropical region of India limits stubble sprouting and tillering ability of sugarcane clones. Therefore, identification of high yielding, high sugar, disease resistant varieties coupled with better winter ratooning ability is given priority in the subtropical sugarcane breeding programmes. Aim of the study was to assess the winter sprouting index of sugarcane germplasm. Methods: To evaluate sugarcane clones for winter ratoonability, an index called winter sprouting index (WSI) was constructed.

Manifestation of synodical periods of the jupiter and mars in the parameters of space weather

The influence of the Jupiter and Mars, differing considerably from each other, on the solar activity is investigated. It is shown that they change the concentration of solar wind particles by 6.27 and 8.53 percent, respectively. Average values of effects in the temperature and solar wind speed in percentage are 1.97, 0.71 and 9.05, 2.42, respectively. The power spectrums as a function of periods with respect to the Wolf’s numbers show the noticeable effects corresponding to the periods of 399 and 780 days, which were considerably greater of 27 variations.

Genetic balances as determinants of biological similarity and variation

Postulates: Pairwise structures are the basic components of living systems. As the lowest level of living structures, they obligatory must offer more than one opportunity of survival (1/1, 1/2, 2/2), minimizing the possibility to disappear under Darwinian selection. Functionally monomorphic molecules, as minimal and basic structure (A1 or A2) may extremely change their frequency under natural selection, and disappear in non-convenient conditions, being a non-satisfactory basic component of living systems.

A survey on methods of tts and various test for evaluating the quality of synthesized speech

The main objective of the paper is give an ideal about different methods of the text to speech synthesis for quality of synthesized speech for Marathi Language. A system converting textual information into speech is usually called as Text to speech (TTS). Speech is surely the most natural mode of communication in human’s community. [Quartier, 2002]. This information can be evaluated at several non-exclusive stages of description. At the acoustic level, speech is considered as a mechanical wave that is an oscillation of pressure.

The dependence of proton related acidity inside erythrocytes from the proton conductance in the previous 8 stages of the full 9 stepped cycle of proton conductance

It is established that in case of changing of electrons and protons normal conductance by uncoupler as rotenone - inhibitor of mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I, inhibitor of mitochondrial hydrogen atom transport at NADH: ubiquinone oxidoreductase level, the significance of the pH value in the outside of isolated erythrocytes, the significance of the pH value after the partial hemolysis of isolated erythrocytes, the significance of the pH value after the full hemolysis of isolated erythrocytes changed to alkaline side.
