A highly active catalyst rh/5a for preferential co oxidation in h2- rich gas

A series of 5A-zeolite supported Rh catalysts were prepared using conventional impregnation method and their catalytic performances for CO preferential oxidation (PROX) in the presence of H2-rich steam were investigate extensively. The effects of calcination temperature, Rh loading amount and the existence of moisture have been studied in detail. 1.2Rh/5A catalyst calcined at 400 oC showed an attractive catalytic performance, CO can be completely converted at 110oC with a high selectivity of 70%.

Real data application and analysis for evaluating several sub-models of generalized jelinski-moranda formula

The generalized Jelinski-Moranda (GJ-M) model were suggested by Al turk and Alsolami [1]  to offer several sub-models with different failurerate behaviour that can suit more different software development projects. The effectiveness of our suggestedgeneral formula is checked through a simulation study (see; Al turk and Alsolami [2]). In this paper the GJ-M model will be checked subjectively and objectively through fiveactual software reliability data. Three methods of estimation and four evaluation criteria will be used in our application.

Valuation of direct consumptive benefits of forests of Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is a hill state which comprised about 90 per cent of its total population depending on forest resources for the subsistence needs of fuel wood, fodder, grazing, construction timber and other non-timber forest products for some of which there is no available substitutes. Such contributions of forests in the form of goods and services used for subsistence needs are termed as direct consumptive benefits or contributions of forests which often go unnoticed and unaccounted as the products do not enter the market.

Comparative study of the effect of vanadium and sulfate on the performance of molybdenum-titanium co-pillared clay for selective catalytic reduction of no by ammonia

A series of vanadium supported on molybdenum and titanium co-pillared montmorillonite, for use in the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO by ammonia, were prepared and characterized with different technique. The surface properties of the samples were compared to the support prepared in absence and in presence of sulphate groups. The catalysts are porous solids and the support (MoTi-PILC) prepared in absence of sulfate shows highest surface area and number of acid sites.

Argon adsorption behavior of multi-walled carbon nanotubes with different diameters

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) with two different average diameters were purified with the nitric acid (MWCNT-HNO3) treatment process. The N2 (adsorption/desorption) measurement showed an increase in surface area from the raw material to the MWCNT 4 normal (4N) acid (HNO3) treatment material, and a decrease in surface area from the MWCNT-4N acid treatment material to the MWCNT-8N acid treatment material. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis implies that some amorphous carbons have been removed from the treated samples and defects on the sidewalls were observed.

Z–source isolatesd bidirectional dc-dc converter

In This paper, a Bidirectional DC-DC converter also known as dual active bridge (DAB) dc–dc converter is presented. A Z-source with bidirectional dc–dc converter by reducing the switching count by adding passive elements has improved the output voltage level, when compared with the traditional bidirectional dc–dc converter. The proposed converter has a wider regulation range of voltage.

A review of adoption of electronic health records in middle east countries

This review paper means of electronic health records in addition to their advantages and disadvantages from different perspectives and viewpoints. The main aim of this paper is concluded in reviewing the adoption of electronic health records in different countries in the Middle East in order to trace out the current status of adopting this technology worldwide. Through this paper, some concentration will be done on the adoption of electronic health records at this countries and toward to building electronic health records system in Iraq.

Seasonal linkages of electric energy water nexus in electricity industry – an empirical analysis

The fast growing demand for fresh water-coupled with the need to protect the environment has made many areas of India and the rest of the World vulnerable to water shortages for various uses of the economy. As they interact with Electricity Industry, water availability is critical to power generation. Without access to adequate amounts of water for steam generation and cooling, power plants that rely on heat energy to generate electricity cannot operate. Seasonal anomalies in water systems and electricity production are inextricably linked.

System health management of safety critical systems using artificial neural networks

Safety critical systems are the systems which defines the safety and monitors the system performance based on some safety criterions. A system health management (SHM) system monitors the safety critical system while it is in operation, and thus is able to detect faults, as soon as they occur. In this paper we propose an approach to determine the system health using artificial neural network. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is used as a case study to demonstrate the SHM approach using ANN.
