Energy savings by excessive use of CFLs ensuing disastrous ecosystem

Compact Fluorescent Lights have steadily increased in sales volume as because it provide maximum light output, more efficient than traditional light bulbs with minimum energy consumption. Development of fluorescent lamps that could fit in the same volume as comparable incandescent lamps required the development of new, high-efficacy phosphors that could withstand more power per unit area than the phosphors used with older, larger lamps. But CFLs contain toxic element, toxic fumes, fire hazard, and health hazard. Excessive use of CFLs may some disastrous on this ecosystem.

Transient mhd mass transfer flow past an impulsively started vertical plate in a porous medium with ramped temperature, thermal diffusion and radiation

In this paper we discuss, an exact solution to the problem of a MHD viscous, incompressible free convective flow of an electrically conducting, Newtonian non Grey fluid past a suddenly started infinite vertical plate with ramped wall temperature and concentration in presence of appreciable radiation heat transfer and uniform transverse magnetic field is presented. The fluid is assumed negligible magnetic Reynolds number considered Induced hydro magnetic effects. The equations governing the flow are solved by using Laplace transform technique in closed form.

Optimization of chemical etching parameters of strippable and non-strippable solid state nuclear track detectors (SSNTD) LR 115 type II

In this study, optimal experimental parameters, especially the optimum time and the residual thickness for the revelation of latent tracks left behind by alpha particles emitted by radon gas and its progeny on strippable and non-strippable Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors (SSNTD) LR 115 type II have been first determined. Then, the track density of the strippable films has been normalized. For a residual thickness of 6 µm, the values of the optimum time and the normalization coefficient of track density obtained are respectively 120 minutes and 0.26 ± 0.03.

Tribological, mechanical and noise properties of proposed composite materials for brakes of high speed trains

High-speed train is a type of rail transporting vehicle that operates significantly faster than the traditional rail traffic, using an integrated system of specialized rolling stock and dedicated tracks. This type of trains has first begun operations in Japan during the sixteenth of the last century and is widely known as the bullet train. One of the most important systems in these trains is the braking system. With the continuous and improvement of this type of trains, disc brake pads are widely applied, due to their high speeds and reliable working of brake pads.

Smart metering in power distribution system

This paper related to an energy management system with integration of smart meters for electricity consumers in a smart grid. The proposed system not only helps to reduce the power demand and cost savings but also can significantly improve power system reliability and efficiency. By implementing smart metering techniques into the distribution network, consumers can monitor their energy costs and usage which could help to reduce global energy demands.

Understanding anger- scientific and religious perspective

Anger just like other Psychological problems can affects the individual and social life of people. With the  new insights from psychology and  from  the religion  perspective,  it  is now possible to attempt to present a  renewed understanding of anger and  how  it  should  be managed in  our daily lives. Anger itself cannot be a mental disorder but cause the other problems in human behavior such as depression anxiety, stress, and disappointment. The need is to avoid anger in order to prevent the other psychological issues.

Inconsistensies in big data

In today’s world, Big Data (BD) plays a vital role. It has many applications in various domains. There are a lot of issues and challenges in BD. A lot of research has been carried out in this domain. In this paper, we have discussed in depth an important issue, namely, inconsistency in BD. Different types of inconsistencies has been discussed.

Construction pollution awareness of construction practitioners in gwalior region

Environment is hazard severely by too many activities construction is one of them. A construction project in all over the world is a serious cause concern of environmental degradation. It badly affects the environment and ecosystem. Increasing construction site pollution due to increasing construction activities has harmed the environment and human health. For knowing the awareness level of construction practitioners in Gwalior region; a questionnaire based survey in Gwalior region. This survey is conducted on different site engineers, architecture, managers and builders.

Quality evaluation of a selected partition: An approach based on resampling methods

The aim of this work on cluster analysis is to provide a methodology to analyse and assess the quality of a selected partition (the best partition according to several validation indexes). In the proposed approach, the evaluation of the stability and of the consistency of the results of the selected partition (original partition) was done using the comparison between this partition and each of the partitions (with the same number of clusters that the original one) obtained by resampling.
