Effectivness of educational intervention programme on knowledge & practices regarding birth preparedness among primigravida women

Background: Maternal mortality is a substantial burden in developing countries. Improving maternal mortality has received recognition at the global level as evidenced by the inclusion of reducing maternal mortality in the Millennium Development Goals. High levels of perinatal (49 per 1,000 births), neonatal (39 per 1,000 live births) (International Institute for Population Sciences, 2007) and maternal mortality (301 per 100,000 live births) remain major public-health challenges in India.

Novel single day premedication regimen for prevention of paclitaxel- induced hypersensitivity reaction

Paclitaxel is one of the most active chemotherapy agents for the treatment of ovarian and other gynecologic cancers. Hypersensitivity reactions (HSR) remain one of the major clinical concerns in the use of paclitaxel. This report is a retrospective study assessing the rates of hypersensitivity in patients who received paclitaxel in Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research centre, Bangalore from May 2015 to July 2016. All patients received 2 doses of INJ Dexamethasone 8 mg, Inj Ranitidine 50 mg and Inj Pheniramine Maleate 44.5 mg 3 hours apart on the day of chemotherapy.

Effect of white tea (camellia sinensis) on cognitive performance

Cognitive performance is the ability to utilize the knowledge acquired by mental processes in our brains. White tea contains caffeine, L-theanine amino acid, and catechin which are known as brain function enhancer. This study examined the effect of white tea towards attention, alertness, simple reaction time, and short term memory. Research subjects were 30 males aged between 18-25 years old. Subjects were assigned to do examination before and 30 minutes after receiving 2 grams of brewed white tea. Data was analyzed with paired t test (α=0.05).

A proposal based on meta-heuristics for the solution of the problem of sequencing non-related machines

This work aims to propose a solution to the problem of sequencing machine-independent and sequence-dependent parallel machines. The goal is to minimize the weighted sum of delays in performing such tasks. It is proposed the development of algorithms for problem solving based on the principles of GRASP, Simulated Annealing and Iterated Local Search

Notes on primes and its unique decomposition

The prime and unique decomposition of prime number in every branches of mathematics (such as number theory, algebra, function theory, etc.) also plays a very important role, all natural science is also often require tools of elementary number theory. In this article, we collected a large amount of data, and further analysis and research these data, and show that some new description for prime numbers and the prime decomposition.

The study of technical university students’ tourism english vocabulary learning motivation and achievement

The purposes of the study were to examine technical university students’ tourism English vocabulary learning achievement and motivation. The subjects were118 studentsfrom a technical university in southern Taiwan. The instruments consisted of one questionnaire called TARGETT questionnaire with seven factors about learning motivation on tourism English vocabulary and one English test called Professional Vocabulary Quotient Credential (PVQC) on tourism.

Evaluation of environmental aesthetics of residential plots, through low impact development strategies, in satellite town, lagos, Nigeria

The manifestations of the signs of ineffectiveness of most residential plots in terms of environmental aesthetics are due to the problems of design, planning, regulatory and administrative frame work within which physical development takes place. The research aims at assessing landscaping and management issues in open spaces within approved setbacks of residential buildings in Satellite town, Lagos Nigeria using Low Impact development approach, with a view of improving the environmental aesthetics and sustenance of the residential plot.

Low path loss and execution time in wireless communication by lte

High capacity, High quality, speed, performance, low complexities are the target of future generation technology. In this paper we are trying to improve performance of wireless cellular technology in the two crucial aspects path loss and processing time which are very important in evaluation of wireless communication system. In this article first we focus on path loss because it helps in determining the coverage area of network. Second we emphasis processing time which is an important parameter in implementing a cellular system.

Adaptive rule based multi class svm classification of big biological data

Biological field of research have as of now delivered huge measures of important biological information that is trying to examine because of its high dimensionality and complexity. With this huge amount of data there are several problems during classification of data such as: noisy instances, over fitting as well as class imbalance. This will influence accuracy as well as the efficiency of supervised learning techniques.

On the univariate variability orders of fuzzy random variables

In this paper, we study stochastic orders that compare the variability or the dispersion of fuzzy random variable. The most important and common order that has studied in this paper are the convex and the dispersive order. We also study in this paper the excess wealth order which is found to be useful in the increasing order of application. Various related order are also examined in the paper.
