The impact of monetary policy on food fuel and core inflation

The widely talked about problem in our country “ Inflation” has been thoroughly analyzed also with various jargons  such as CPI ,WPI, PPI, core inflation and headline inflation by experts. In order to find out the root cause for the rise in prices or fall in the purchasing power of currency or the reasons for people’s constant struggle to fulfill their desires, analysis is still going on at different levels. Are the factors coming from demand side or supply side is a question which is yet to be answered. Will the monetary policy work or the fiscal policy be effective is always a puzzle.

Mycorrhizal colonization in relation to age of cassava plant in different soil types of semiarid tropics of Tamilnadu

Arbuscular mycorrhizal spore population and AM root colonization were positively correlated with different micronutrients viz., Zn Mn and Cu analyzed from cassava soil semiarid tropics of Tamil Nadu. Loamy soil recorded the highest number of AM spores (123.30 100 g of soil) while the root colonization is 49.24 per cent was the highest in clay loam soils of semiarid tropics of Tamil nadu. Red soil recorded the least of 100 spore 100 g of soil and 40.70 per cent root colonization. The surface layer (0-15 cm) contained the highest spore population.

Integration of GIS and statistical models for landslide hazard assessment in wahig-inabanga Watershed, Bohol, Philippines

The study generally aimed at integrating geographic information system (GIS) and statistical models in predicting landslide prone areas in Wahig-Inabanga Watershed, Bohol, Philippines. Logistic regression (LR) and bivariate statistical analysis (BSA) were employed to determine landslide prone areas using eleven significant landslide-related instability factors such as elevation, slope, aspect, lithology, soil order, soil type, fault line proximity, river proximity, road proximity, rainfall and land cover.

Malaria in pregnancy and its association with ABO blood group and Haemoglobin genotype

The prevalence of malaria among 250 pregnant women attending antenatal clinic in Agbonchia Health Centre Eleme, Rivers State, Nigeria was investigated using thick and thin blood film stained with Giemsa. The stained slides were examined microscopically for malaria parasites. The prevalence of malaria among the pregnant women was 40.6% and the prevalence among 50 non-pregnant women used as control was 16.0%. The prevalence of malaria by age group among the pregnant women was 36.1-46.8% from age 20-40yrs.

On Lyapunov-type inequalities for fourth order linear differential equations

In this  paper,  we introduce  new  Lyapunov-type inequalities  for fourth order  linear  di¤erential  equations  under  the  third-point  and  four-point  boundary conditions.  The result for four-point boundary conditions improve some existing ones in literature and also, we note that the results for three-point boundary conditions are new.

Triangular divisor cordial labeling for some special graphs

Let G=(V,E) be a (p,q)- graph. A Triangular divisor cordial labeling of a graph G with vertex set V is a bijectionf∶V→{T_1,T_2,T_3,….,T_p} where  T_i is the i^th Triangular number such that if each edge uv is assigned the label 1 if f(u) divides f(v) or f(v) divides f(u) and 0 otherwise, then the number of edges labeled with 0 and the number of edges labeled with 1 differ by at most 1.If a graph has a  Triangular divisor cordial labeling, then it is called Triangular divisor cordial graph.

Nanoemulsion- An Antiobesity drug

Currently, obesity is a major health problem worldwide because of its rising prevalence and strong association with pathological disorders such as cardio vascular diseases, diabetes- type 2, hypertension, infertility and some forms of cancer. Nanotechnology has been developed into a multidisciplinary field of applied science and technology for target application. People prefer to take antiobesity drugs to reduce body weight rather than work outs. But these conventional drugs may cause adverse effects on heart and other organs.

Molecular diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi associated with Prunus Africana (hook f.) kalkman (Rosaceae) in humid forest zones of Cameroon

Prunus africana is an endangered tree species, endemic to Africa and was included in Appendix II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). In this study, we described the composition of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) colonized roots and pool of spores of P. africana from three dry Afromountain forests of Cameroon. The large sub-unit (LSU) rRNA gene was amplified from these materials cloned and sequenced using the Glomeromycota specific primers FLR3 situated between the D1 and D2 domains of LSU rRNA and FLR4 in the D2 domain.

Silver amalgam in the age of adhesive dentistry

Education With the advent of composite resin, amalgam is no longer indicated as first treatment option. And so began a successive change in dentistry restorations which disregards the research as the longevity of a restoration. The controversy over mercury contamination emphasized this practice. Thus, this literature review study aims to guide the professional and the public about the risks of using and removal of amalgam.
