With the retinue of endorsements and adoption that have so far heralded President Goodluck Jonathan’s  second term ambition within and outside the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) hierarchy, many believe the coast is clear for the President to ride on unhindered having being adopted as the sole candidate of the party in the 2015 presidential election.  The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) finally cleared its elected officials to participate in events organized in support of President Goodluck Jonathan’s candidacy ahead of the 2015 presidential election.

An insight into aid and economic performance under the structural adjustment and heavily indebted poor countries initiative: a case stud

The paper provides a schematic overview of aid in least developed countries and examines the trend and relationship between aid and exports, imports, investment, savings, real exchange rate, government expenditure, debt and growth during the structural adjustment and heavily indebted poor countries initiatives in Ghana. It is found that increase in aid had a positive effect on economic growth, exports, government expenditure, investment, and debt service payments and aid did not displace savings.

Considerations on society through Saudi women’s art

This research deals with two important and long controversial topics in Saudi society: women and the arts.  This study focuses on the development of social commentary through the work of Saudi female artists in the visual arts, photography, and modern art.  It presents a survey of the history of women’s education in the arts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from when art education began to be understood through the term painting in the year 1348/1929 until after its study was established under the name arts education in the year 1382/1962.

Optical interpretation of diminishing and non diminishing of remote objects and their representation in painting landscape

The geometry of painting landscape remains one of the long standing problems that cannot be explained theatrically. This work is devoted to use geometrical optics to explain this aspect. It utilizes eye geometry to explain why the horizon appears as an infinite line, and also explains why sky meat earth surface at a point. besides showing the reason that makes large mountains does not converge to a point far from human eye vision.   

Performance of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) as influenced by various resource constraints

Groundnut the “king of oilseeds” is grown on area of 4.60 million hectares with the production of 4.8 million tonnes during the year 2014-15. Among the various agronomic practices, fertilizer, weeding and plant protection play important role in maximizing the pod yield. Keeping in view all the facts, the study of performance of groundnut as influenced by resource constraints was formulated in RBD design in three replications with 8 different treatments. The results in the present investigation revealed significant differences in respect of pod yield for all the treatments studied.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC DIMENSIONS OF TOURISM: A COOMUNITY-BASED APPROACH FROM NORTH WESTERN GHANA

Community-based tourism has, for over four decades, been promoted as a means of poverty reduction in developing countries. This study sought to investigate the social and economic effects of community-based tourism using the Wechiau Community-based Hippo Sanctuary located in the Upper West Region of Ghana. The research relied on both qualitative and quantitative approaches using household questionnaires as its primary data collection instrument. The study reveals the ever increasing tourists arrival, with its attendant revenue, as the major economic benefit of the sanctuary.
