Women Food Vendors’ (WFV’S) contribution in household income in Tanzania: the case of Morogoro municipal

This study examines the challenges facing by women micro-entrepreneurs in Tanzania. It also identifies the characteristics of women micro entrepreneurs in relation to the challenges they faced in their daily operations, the contribution of women-micro enterprises to the household income and their business operating environment. Data were obtained through structured interviews. The self-administered questionnaire consisted of both open and closed-ended questions, the tool allowed the respondents to express their views freely.

The concern of foreign direct investment (FDI) has been receiving remarkable attention from many developing countries such as Nepal, given the fact that economic development in these countries is largely reliant on FDI through the establishment of multinational enterprises (MNEs). The major challenges for a host country are to carry out effective measures that ensure a favorable investment climate to foreign investors. In recent years, Nepal has been devoting efforts for attracting inward FDI by offering a lot of lucrative investment incentives and benefits to MNEs.

The effective development cooperation in a higher education institution: the case of handong global university

As a UNESCO UNITWIN host university, Handong Global University has been pioneering international development cooperation in the higher education area in Korea. International development cooperation projects of Handong Global University were evaluated and assessed according to the effectiveness principles in development cooperation elicited from the Fourth High Level Forum in Busan, Korea in 2011. The case study on HGU projects which has put huge efforts in international development cooperation would deliver strong implications to Korean universities that are expanding similar efforts.

The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial potency of Callyspongia and utilization possibility as a companion in the biological control of ice-ice disease. This study is a factorial experiment consists of 3 factors, namely the kind of bacterial isolates from seaweed suffering of ice-ice disease, kind of solvent and the kind of Callyspongia. Each factor consists of three levels and replicated three times. Callyspongia antibacterial potency testing performed by agar diffusion method. Data in form the inhibition zone diameter.

Local wisdom of baumata society in kupang in considering the nature Perservation

A research on local wisdom in the nature preservation of Baumata has been conducted from February to March 2014. It held in the Village of East Baumata, Taebenu Sub district, Kupang regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) in order to know what is the local wisdom owned by Baumata villages in the preservation of nature and environment around them. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data is taken by interviews and direct observation.

Student learning of physics in colleges of education: analysis of performances

This study was carried out in Colleges of Education Kwara state in Nigeria to examine how students are performing in Physics. The participants comprises of 105 Physics students drawn from Physics/Chemistry, Physics/Computer Science, Physics/Integrated Science and Physics/ Mathematics combinations. This was a random sampling within four Colleges of Education. The instrument used was three years examination scores of these students. These scores represent what each student scored percent for three years of their studies.

Factors affecting the reception of English translations of Chinese literature

Studies on the effect of English translation of Chinese literature are paid more attention especially with the national strategy of “Chinese Culture Going Global”. Some scholars hold that the most effective way of evaluating the effect is the observance of the reader’s reception. There exist some Western and Chinese translation theories on reader’s reception. However, they cannot be used as the sole tool to evaluate reader’s reception of English translations of Chinese literature.

Effects of aerobic and anaerobic training on stroke volume responses to active stress

The study was proposed to examine the changes on stroke volume responses to active stress with aerobic and anaerobic training among untrained male university students. Forty-five untrained male university students, in the age group of twenty to twenty-five years were selected as participants, and they were segregated into three groups namely: control, aerobic and anaerobic training groups. The duration of experimentation period was restricted to twelve weeks and the frequency of training was thrice a week.

Changes in lung volumes during a periodized training year of handball players

The aim of the current study was to assess the changes in lung volumes during a periodized training year of handball players. The subjects employed in the present study were fourteen male handball players. Testing took place at four points during the periodized training year; at the beginnings of general preparation (T1), specific preparation (T2), and competition phase beginning (T3) end of competition phases of training and peaking (T4).
