Prevalence of anaemia among the adolescent athletes of national sports academy

Anaemia is one of the most important public health problem. Many preschool children, school children, adolescents, pregnant women and lactating women are at high risk of nutritional anaemia. Knowing about the causes of anaemia will be helpful to prevent this health problem. In order to estimate GHG emission from agriculture fields, Cool Farm Tool Beta-3 was used for selected cropping patterns. The non-rice based cropping patterns had lower global warming potential (GWP) than rice-rice based cropping patterns.

Genetic variability, heritability, correlation and path analysis studies in green gram (vigna radiata l.wilczek)

The genotypes differed significantly for all the characters under study. Higher genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variation was observed for secondary branches per plant, primary branches per plant, pods per plant, grain yield per plant. Genetic advance was highest for plant height followed by days to maturity and pods per plant. High heritability coupled with moderate genetic advance was observed for plant height, days to maturity, pods per plant, protein content, days to 50 percent flowering, secondary branches per plant, grain yield per plant, primary branches per plant.
