Effect of temperature on phosphate dissolution efficacy of microorganisms isolated from the cold desert habitat of populus alba (white popler) in trans himalayas

Amongst a wide array of elements required by the plants for their growth, phosphate happens to be the second most important element. However, the degrading availability of soil and the costly chemical fertilizers lead to a shortage of adequate phosphorous supply to the plants. Phosphate Solubilising microorganisms are capable of solubilising inorganic phosphate from the insoluble deposits thus making phosphate readily available for plants.

High-resolution vertical electrical sounding survey: investigation of subsurface structures at dashgil´s mud volcano, Azerbaijan

High-resolution electrical resistivity method was applied to investigate subsurface structure of Dashgil mud volcano in Azerbaijan. The field work performed on one profile with the use of four-electrode symmetrical installation AMNB. ERA-MAX electromagnetic prospecting equipment with an operating frequency of 4.88 Hz is used for the field measurements. A total of 21 VES using Schlumberger arrays were carried out along NW-SE oriented profile. Data processing was performed using inverse modeling.

A critical review on singl cell protein production using different substrates

Single cell protein or other related substances are basically proteins derived from organic matter using microbial organisms for the industrial production of SCPs various kind of substrates and microbes are used. The main purpose behind this selectivity is search of low cost substrates to reduce production cost and finally the product for better production and cost efficiency many substances were tried by several scientists in laboratory and later on as a pilot project. Present paper deals with the available literature and presents critical review on the subject.
