The effects of different levels of inorganic fertilizer (npk 15:15:15,) on growth and yield of sweet pepper (capsicum annum) in mubi, Nigeria

The effects of different levels of inorganic fertilizer (NPK 15:15:15,) on growth and yield of sweet pepper (Capsicum annum) in Mubi North was carried outto determine optimum level of inorganic fertilizer (NPK 15:15:15,) for the growth and yield of sweet pepper in Mubi North. Field experiment was conducted at the FAO /TCP farm ÁDSU Mubi in 2016which lies within Latitude 100 15N and Longitude 130 10 E and at an altitude of 696m above sea level.

Studies on dna cleavage, antimicrobial screening and anticancer activity of zr(iv) and th(iv) metal complexes of dfmpm and glycine

The Zr(IV) and Th(IV) Schiff base complexs with di--formylmethoxybis(3-pentadecenylphenyl)methane (DFMPM) and glycine were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, electronic, IR, 1HNMR spectral measurements, Powder XRD and SEM. The conductance measurements indicate that all the complexes are non electrolytes. Infrared spectra indicate the coordination of imino nitrogen and carboxylato oxygen. The electronic 1HNMR spectral results indicate that both Zr(IV) and Th(IV) ions are octacoordinated and ligand is tetradentate.

Dedifferentiation and growth of friable calluses from stems of capsicum chinense cv. airetama

Chili peppers belong to the genus Capsicum and have been studied for their bioactivity, provided by secondary metabolites, which can be used for medicinal and agricultural purposes. Some Capsicum species have been submitted to in vitro cultivation systems of cell suspensions, which have been largely reported as safe and standardized methods of production of secondary compounds. The objective of this study was to determine a protocol for the establishment of cell suspensions from stems of the cultivar C. chinense cv. Airetama.

Comparative assessment of various air pollutants at Jabalpur by air quality index

Degradation of air quality at the city Jabalpur has been estimated by Air Quality Index (AQI). The method used to measure quality of air with respect to national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS). Through the study of two years, the level of air pollutants (O3, CO, NO2, PM2.5 and PM10) was observed. As a result it was found that; O3, CO, PM2.5 and PM10 shown better AQI in 2015 than 2014 whereas, NO2 shows reverse AQI i.e. good AQI result in 2014. However, all the air pollutants didn’t cross its standard.
