The current state of psychology in India is conversed along with varying social issues that pertain to hindrances towards the implementation of Western style of psychology in India. These social issues addressed are accessibility, familial expectation, cultural norms, and values.

Influence of ph vaginal mucosa when artificial insemination of non return rate (nrr) and conception rate (cr) on dairy cow in ksu tunas setia baru pasuruan east java

This study aims to find out the vaginal mucosa during artificial insemination against Non Return Rate (NRR) and Conception Rate (CR) in the highlands. Sixty female dairy cows were used as samples in this study. The pH of the vaginal mucosa is measured by digital pH meter on each dairy cow at the time of artificial insemination. Non Return Rate (NRR) observation was performed on the 21st day after insemination and Conception Rate (CR) was performed on day 60 after insemination. The effect of pH of the vaginal mucosa during artificial insemination is in the range of 6.8 to 8.5.

Importance of mathematical modeling in teaching mathematics

Today, in engineering departments, mathematics courses such as calculus, linear algebra and differential equations are taught by mathematicians. Therefore, in their classroom teaching there are few or no applications of the concepts to real world problems. Most of the times, students do not know whether the concepts or rules taught in these courses will be used extensively in their majors or not. This situation holds true for all engineering disciplines. The real-life application of mathematics will be appreciated by students when mathematical modeling of real world problems are tackled.

Biochemical profile of individuals with HIV/AIDS in haart: A proposal for nutritional intervention using a bioactive food compound

AIDS currently has chronic disease status because of the side effects of HAART. A study with 91 adult subjects undergoing HAART with or without hypolipidemic and/or hypoglycemic medication. Subjects were divided into groups A (GA) and B (GB) based on HAART and GB received 3.6 kg of Bioactive Food Compound (BFC) for three months. The variables were: immunological and virologic, biochemical parameters, HAART and BFC.

Animal models in the evaluation of inflammation caused by carbohydrate-rich diets: brief scientific literature review

The quality of diet influences in development of chronic diseases as obesity and metabolic syndrome that trigger low-grade inflammatory process. With the objective of analyzing the reflexes of obesity and metabolic inflammation animal models of diseases have been proposed to induce inflammatory processes through different types of diets, such as high-carbohydrate (HCD) and high-fat diets (HFD), both of them producing deleterious effects on the body.

Preclinical studies of ranibizumab for safe use in ophthalmology clinic

The research effort entertained herein aimed at evaluating the possible effects of cell injury by ranibizumab in biological assays, in order to prove its safety for use in humans. For this, indirect ophtalmoscopy in albino rabbits was evaluated in vivo for a period of 21 days following intravitreal administration of ranibizumab (10mg/mL) in volumes of 30 and 50µL, or 50µL of saline solution, and retinal histological staining of the rabbits’ eyes performed with hematoxylin/eosin.

Knowledge and practice of self-care management of persons with type ii diabetes at a health centre in east trinidad

Aim: The study was to determine the levels of knowledge and practice of self-care management of patients with type11 diabetes at Manzanilla Clinic in East Trinidad. Methods: A quantitative descriptive study was undertaken, using all attendees to the health center on a 5-week period. A researchers’-structured Likert-like questionnaire was developed and pretested for the study. Although 88 attendees were targeted, only 66 consented and therefore were recruited for the study. Data was analyzed with SPSS programme version 20. It was presented as frequencies in tables.

Carcass Characteristics and Beef Composition of Buffalo calves under the influence of recombinant bovine somatotropin (rbST)

Experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of recombinant bovine somatotropin (rbST) on feed and energy intake, feed efficiency, daily weight gain, carcass traits, quality and composition of meat in buffalo calves. Sixteen male buffalo calves of weighing 55+5 kg live body weight (approximately 16 + 2 wks of age) were purchased from local animal market located at a distance of 40 km from Tandojam, Pakistan.

Definition of lyapunov index of dehydration process and granulation in a fluidised bed

Investigation of nonlinear mathematical model of the process of dehydration and granulation in a fluidised bed was made. Mathematical model for two-dimensional systems in variations was obtained. It was considered control actions: flow rate and cost solution. It was built an attractor for a dissipative dynamic system that represents the nature of limit cycle in phase plane. It was believed that the cost of gas depends on the temperature and subject to harmonic law. It was calculated senior Lyapunov index by changing the initial conditions.

Impact of cluster approach on turmeric cultivation- a study in goalpara District, Assam

In this paper an attempt was made to study the Impact of cluster approach on turmeric cultivation in Goalpara district, Assam. The study was conducted in Balijana block of Goalpara district of Assam covering a total of 140 samples of turmeric growers which consist of 70 each under individual and cluster turmeric growers. The impact of cluster approach on was measured by the difference of income and employment of cluster turmeric growers and individual turmeric growers. The significance of difference was done by applying T-Test.
