Effect of different phosphorus levels on growth and yield of three varieties of cowpea (vignaunguiculata (l) walp) in mubi north local government area, adamawa state, Nigeria

This study determines the Effect of different Phosphorus levels on growth and yield of three varieties of cowpea (VignaUnguiculata (L) Walp) in 2016 rain fed cropping season. Phosphorus is very important for cowpea production in many tropical African soils with inherent low phosphorus fertilizer. Most farmers in this locality do not have access to phosphorus fertilizer. Selection of cowpea lines that produce good yield under low soil phosphorus or those with high phosphorus use efficiency can be a low input approach to solving this problem.

Clinical case report of brucellosis in horses in an area under control strategies from the Mexico-united states border region

An outbreak of brucellosis occurred in the municipality of Victoria, in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico. On 25 April 2010, in a stable with 16 riding horses, a mare presented weakness, progressive emaciation, difficult movements and suppurative fistulous withers. Serum samples of these horses and other 27 horses in close contact with animals of the affected stable were subjected to the Rose Bengal test with 8% cell concentration and Rivanol test for identifying the presence of antibodies against Brucella abortus strain 1119-3, and microbiological culture.

Impact of physical exercise on peripheral platelet count

Background: The beneficial effect of regular exercise on physical fitness is well documented. There is also evidence that acute and chronic exercise affect platelet activation in different ways. Few studies are available on effect of exercise on platelets function. Therefore, present work has been undertaken to study the effect of exercise on platelets. Objective: Effect of exercise on peripheral platelet count. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on 40 healthy female subjects in the age group of 22-29. Samples for platelet counts were obtained prior to training and after 12 wk.

Analyzing the determinants of import demand in cameron

With the world becoming more and more of a global village, countries involved in trade do not strife only for the quantity of goods but also for a certain quality standard. The paper aims at identifying and evaluating some of the variables determining import demand in Cameroon. A descriptive and analytical approach using multiple regressions is exploited using World Bank data from 1980 to 2011 to estimate the parameters of a parsimonious import demand function.

Rbm3 and cirp may play an important role as avasodilator. a preliminary study

It is now well accepted that e-NOs is one of target genes of HIF-1 and it plays an important role as a vasodilator or angiogenesis. We found in our series of immune his to chemical study that anti- RBM3 and CIRP antibodies were able to stain the nucleuses of neurons, myocardial cells and cells in the blood vessels existing in the newly infarction area of the brain and myocardium, although moderate or feeble reactivity with those antibodies were observed in sub-acute and/or chronic infarction area.

Evaluation of nigeria direct reduction (dr) steelmaking slag mineral phase chemistry

Fifteen prepared field samples of Delta Steel Company (DSC) direct reduction (DR) steelmaking slag were studied with an energy dispersive electron microprobe including photo microscopy. Belite, melilte, merwinite (silicates), periclase, perovskite and wustite were the mineral phases present in the slag. Slag composition elements were very highly differentially concentrated in the mineral phases.

Bamboo as alternative material in ecological jewelry

The purpose of this research was to design ecological jewelry through alternative materials such as bamboo otate, to generate environmental responsibility. Nowadays, products with low environmental impact are realized, in this sense the bamboo otate was an ideal alternative, because it is the plant with greater growth in the world, being able to be used since the two years of growth for artisanal purposes, it is a renewable resource and totally sustainable, in six months reaches a height of 60 meters, it has a high durability giving it a permanent finish.

Atrocities on dalits and their rights under the constitution of India and other laws

Dalits are the most neglected, marginalized, exploited and the most disadvantaged socio-economic group in India. The continuing atrocities on the Dalits, its nature and the response (or the lack of it) of the law and order machinery represents deep-rooted fault lines in our society and demands multi-faceted action as a nation.
