Fatores que predispõem a gravidez de alto risco

Introduction: High-risk pregnancy can be understood as a pregnancy in which the health or life of the mother and/or the fetus/newborn (NB) is at greater risk than the expected average. Most deaths and disorders that arise during pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium are preventable, and for this, the active participation of the multiprofessional health team is necessary. Objective: To identify the main causes of high-risk pregnancies. Methodology: A literature review survey was carried out on the factors that predispose to high-risk pregnancy.

Pityriasis lichenoides and acute varioliformis (pleva): a case report after oropharyngeal infection

A 21-year-old male patient presented, ten days after infection of the oropharynx, with papulo-erythematous desquamative lesions that rapidly spread to the trunk and limbs, and rapidly evolved to vesicular papulonecrotic lesions, without systemic repercussions. Forty days after the onset of the clinical picture, he underwent the consultation that originated the current case report. He was hospitalized, biopsied, and the diagnosis of acute lichenoid and varioliform pythiasis was confirmed, with a favorable outcome after the use of corticoid and methotrexate.

Analysis of four non-drug measures in the treatment of arterial hypertension: a literature review

Systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) can be conceptualized as a chronic degenerative disease of multifactorial nature, in most cases asymptomatic, that fundamentally compromises the balance of the vasodilator and vasoconstrictor systems that maintain the vasomotor tone, leading to a reduction in the lumen of the vessels and damage to the organs they irrigate. In practice, SAH is characterized by an increase in blood pressure levels above what is recommended for a given age group.

Enfrentamento à violência doméstica: perfil da violência doméstica em inquéritos policiais no ano de 2018

Conforme o DataSenado, em parceria OMV, em 2021, 86% das mulheres entrevistadas percebem o aumento na violência cometida contra pessoas do sexo feminino. O percentual de brasileiras que conhecem uma ou mais mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica ou familiar chega a 68%. A violência de gênero se manifesta, assim, como um fenômeno estrutural da sociedade que mantém uma postura de defesa e permissividade em relação às agressões contra as mulheres. O objetivo deste artigo consiste em analisar a violência contra as mulheres mães, mais especificamente, a violência doméstica e familiar.

Introduction: Education is one of the cornerstones for the development of countries. Its effectiveness depends on better public policy systems and, therefore, on greater discoveries about the role of federal states in the policy process. Objective: To carry out an integrative review of the literature to cover the factors that influence the implementation of national policies by state governments in the education area. Materials and Methods: A literature survey was carried out in July 2022, in the following databases: SciELO, Lilacs, Scopus, CAPES Periodicals and Google Scholar.

Descriptive analysis of selenium content of common foods eaten by ebola survivors in beni, north –kivu, D.R.C.

Selenium, a mineral present in food, has been demonstrated to assist a number of bodily processes, including the maintenance of strong muscles and an effective immune system. It may also slow the spread of some viruses and control blood coagulation. As a result, it might contribute to the fight against the Ebola virus infection. This descriptive case-control study examined how the lack of selenium affected people's susceptibility to the Ebola virus in Beni, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The influence of new technologies on the teaching of business education courses in tertiary institutions in bayelsa state

The study looks into how new technologies are affecting how business education courses are taught in Bayelsa state's tertiary institutions. The study's execution was directed by two research questions and one hypothesis. The study employed a descriptive survey research design. Two academic schools in Bayelsa state recruited a total of 37 business education instructors. Data were gathered using a questionnaire having a Cronbach reliability of 0.70. Percentages The research questions were analysed using the mean score.

Formative processes: student perception on active methodologies in the pharmacy course

In this article we present the results of a Scientific Initiation research, which starts from the hypothesis that formative processes based on active learning methodologies allow a better perception of students regarding their learning in the Pharmacy course. The objective was to investigate what is the perception of students of the Pharmacy course at a university in the interior of São Paulo/Brazil, regarding their learning and appropriation in the area. This is a qualitative, descriptive-analytical research.

Relationship between selenium deficiency and vulnerability to ebolavirus disease in beni, drc

In Ebola patients, selenium aids in regulating blood clotting and possibly assist in coagulopathy properties of the Ebola haemorrhagic fever. Therefore, the objectives of this study were to determine the Selenium levels of people living in Beni, DRC and whether there is an association between Ebola vulnerability and selenium deficiency.This was a case control study with cases being Ebola virus disease survivors and controls were their contact persons during the time of infection.
