Botulinum toxin in psoriasis: A Review

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease involving the exacerbated production of keratinocytes in the affected areas, in response to the activation of the immune system. Some neurotransmitter channels are involved in the pathogenesis of psoriasis and may act as a trigger for the pathology. This article aims to demonstrate the use of Botulinum Toxin A as a substance capable of interfering in the immunopathogenesis of the disease.A bibliographic review was carried out using articles indexed in the MEDLINE AND LILACS platforms, in both English and Portuguese.

Biodegradation of phenol by pseudomonas aeruginosa, acinetobacter sp. and stenotrophomonas maltophilia isolated of the sludge activated of a steel industry

The purpose of this work was to study the degradation capacity of phenol by strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter sp. and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia isolated from activated sludge from a steel industry. For this, a study of the kinetics of microbial growth and degradation of phenol, besides a factorial planning was carried out, varying the initial concentration of phenol and the pH. Pseudomonas aeruginosa removed 100% of the phenol in 72 h, when the initial concentration of the compound was 250 mg L-1 and the pH was controlled at 6.4. The bacterium Acinetobacter sp.

Sua economia tem predominância pelo extrativismo mineral, e pelo agronegócio, seja pela agricultura da soja e pela agropecuária. A sustentabilidade do agronegócio no estado do Pará é o tema dessa pesquisa .

O aprender é uma arte, até então, vista como algo monótono. Premiavam-se os detentores de memória, máquinas humanas capazes de armazenar o máximo de informações não passíveis de discussões. Conteúdos fechados e métodos avaliativos no mesmo sentido. E a lição que ficava era decorar significava passar na prova. Não havia um propósito para além disso. Tanto que, não raro, o decorado era esquecido em pouco tempo. Acrescente-se a isso um educador senhor absoluto do conhecimento, cujas orientações deveriam ser seguidas a risco sem margem para divergências.

The role of college principals in tutor motivation and professional development of tutors in the Colleges of Education in Ghana

The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of College Principals in tutor motivation and professional development of tutors in the Colleges of Education in Ghana. This study was conducted in Seventh-day Adventist College of Education Agona in the Sekyere South district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. This research adopts a pragmatic research philosophy. The descriptive research design was used for this study. A total of thirty tutors were involved in the study. This study used questionnaire as the main data collection instrument.

Parasites occurrence in fishes collected from daim mayo lagoon at the sudanese red sea coast

Total prevalence of parasites infection among all fish species investigated was 64.62%. Mugil cephalus recorded highest prevalence of infection with 40.85%. Four external parasites were found in gills of most fish species collected from the study area, these were Ganthia sp., Aella sp., Lepeophtheirus sp., Lernanthropus sp. and Lepeophtheirum sp.. Two helminthes parasites Sclerocolum sp. and Procamallnus sp. were reported inside the intestinal tract of some examined fishes. The parasites Ganthia sp. and Lernanthropus sp.

O dever de informação na escola como prevenção à violência ética de gênero no instituto federal do maranhão

Este artigo investiga o dever de informação na escola no contexto da política de prevenção ao assédio sexual no Instituto Federal do Maranhão. A abordagem, instrumentalizada por meio de análise documental de fontes jurídicas conjugada à revisão crítica de literatura, está dividida em dois tomos: no primeiro, situa-se a violência de gênero na escola pública como violência ética, que demanda do Estado-nação uma ação enérgica e eficaz; no segundo, destaca-se o dever de informação como ferramenta à prevenção da violência de gênero.
