Online Teaching Challenges in higher Institutions in Mozambique: Future Recommendations

Currently, due to the coronavirus-19 pandemic, online teaching is implemented in many higher education institutions in Mozambique. However, this teaching modality has faced several challenges in the teaching and learning process. In this sense, this article aims to present the results achieved with the completion of a doctoral research on the analysis of distance learning models in private and public universities in Mozambique. In terms of empirical research, a mixed methodological approach was adopted, following a case investigation strategy.

A Rare Cause of Urinary Tract Obstruction (The Hidden Fungal Culprit)

Background: Fungal infections of the urinary tract are not uncommon, but occasionally, these infections can take a more unusual and troubling turn, with the formation of what is known as a fungal ball.A fungal ball in the urinary bladder is an uncommon entity. It presents a unique clinical challenge, especially in pediatric and immunocompromised populations(1,3,4). These masses are typically formed by Candidaspecies, most commonly Candida albicansorCandidatropicalis, (1,4), and can lead to hydronephrosis, urinary retention, and sepsis if not promptly diagnosed and treated. (2,3).

From Spice to Therapy: The Antiangiogenic Potential of Eugenol

Nyctanthes Antiangiogenesis, the process of inhibiting new blood vessel formation, has become a pivotal strategy in the treatment of cancer and other angiogenesis-dependent diseases. Eugenol, a bioactive compound found in clove oil, has gained attention for its broad pharmacological properties, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer effects. Recent studies suggest that eugenol exhibits significant antiangiogenic potential by targeting key regulators of angiogenesis, such as Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) and Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPs).

Study of Rabindranath Tagore’s Educational Views Regarding Co-Curricular Activities

Rabindranath Tagore, a visionary educator, emphasized the significance of co-curricular activities in shaping a well-rounded personality. He believed that education should not solely focus on academic knowledge but also encompass emotional, social, moral, and physical development. CSF in Moyamoya Disease: Pathophysiological role and Therapeutic Perspectives

Moyamoya disease is a rare cerebral vasculopathy and progressive, characterized by occlusion of the arteries at the base of the brain and formation of fragile collateral vessels. Recent evidence indicates that cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) may act in the mediation of angiogenic, inflammatory and blood-brain barrier (BBB) dysfunction mechanisms. This systematic review aimed to analyze the biomarkers present in the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with Moyamoya and their possible diagnostic and therapeutic implications.

The role of safety Management Systems in Enhancing Workplace Safety: a Study on Injury Prevention

This research explores the role of Safety Management Systems (SMS) in enhancing workplace safety, focusing on injury prevention across various industries. Through qualitative methodology, three real-world case studies were conducted, examining the implementation processes, challenges, and outcomes associated with SMS adoption. Key themes emerged from interviews with employees and management, including initial resistance to change, the rationale behind SMS implementation, the importance of tailored training, and the significant impact on incident and injury rates.

Advanced Convolutional Neural Networks-Based Vitality Assessment in Multi-Face Visual Data

In our fast-paced world, authentication has become a key necessity for most systems. Face recognition has stepped up as a dependable way to identify or verify someone using an image taken by a camera or a single frame from a video. Yet, these intricate tasks often go beyond what traditional computing systems can handle on their own. To tackle this challenge, advanced methods like deep learning are being increasingly utilized to boost the accuracy and efficiency of face detection and recognition.
