Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the antimicrobial and antibiofilm potential of 10% Aloe vera gel against in vitro oral bacteria compared with 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate gel. Design: The antimicrobial activity was evaluated using radial diffusion and agar perforation. The results were identified by the presence and visual size of the halo of inhibition of the bacterial growth around the holes. The microbial biofilm formation assay was conducted in 24-well surface-modified polystyrene plates with flat bottom.

Ansiedade é uma emoção frequente, sinal de alarme perante uma situação que pode constituir uma ameaça e caracterizada por um estresse que provoca uma excitação emocional. É um problema relacionado à saúde mental que pode gerar distúrbios graves, como depressão e o suicídio. Diante disso, o objetivo geral do presente estudo foi avaliar o nível de sintomas de ansiedade e a prática de atividade física dos escolares da Zona Sudeste de Teresina-PI.

The aim of the study was to identify biomarkers of morbidity in people with diabetic retinopathy (DR). This is an integrative literature review of studies addressing DR as a biomarker of morbidity. Full studies published between 2010 and 2020 in English, Spanish and Portuguese languages were included. The search was conducted in the VHL, PubMed and ScIELO databases, using morbidity, biomarkers and diabetic retinopathy as descriptors. Six articles were selected, corresponding to the objective of the study.

Consequentemente os profissionais de enfermagem durante atuação profissional foram desafiados para prestar atendimento o enfrentamento do novo COVID19, por ser um vírus desconhecido, e a situação torna-se mais complexa, quando o indivíduo diagnosticado trata-se de gestante.

Introduction: The nursing team is involved in all the stages of the assistance given to the patient, which generates a high quantity of registers related to the procedures. Objective: To analyze the failures in the nursing notes that interfere with the quality of care according to the literature. Methodology: This is Integrative Literature Review research in the LILAC, BDENF and SCIELO electronic library databases from original articles, in Portuguese language published in the period from 2010 to 2020.

The authors are commenting on the study entitled: “Four-year outcomes of aflibercept treatment for neovascular age-related macular degeneration: results from rel-life setting” published by Lukic et al. in European Journal Ophthalmology 2020 (Doi: 10.1177/1120672120938565. Published on June 25, 2020), which assessed 4-year structural and functional outcomes in intravitreal aflibercept treatment for 89 patients (94 eyes) with neovascular age-related macular degeneration in a real-world setting.
