Fungal potential for the decolorization of textile dyes

The textile dyes used in industry are formed by complex structures with high coloration and are often difficult to treat for decolorization. These dyes, present in high concentration, have a toxic effect on the ecosystem and bioremediation methods using microorganisms cause less toxicity impact on the environment. In this work, four distinct Aspergillusspp. strains, capable of decolorizing dyes used in the textile industry, congored and indigo carmine, diluted in Normal Decolorization Medium, were used.

Powdered coconut water (pcw-108) as rooster semen extender

Powdered coconut water was used to preserve the integrity of the rooster's sperm cell for long periods and improve the quality of the ejaculated semen. The composition of the powder is natural, obtained from coconut water, presenting osmolarity around 500 mOsm / kg H2O and pH around 4.5 to 5.0, which were corrected for pH 7.5-8.5 and osmolarity 350-400 mOsm / kg H2O similar to seminal plasma. The filtrate is homogenized and pulverized, with high solubility.

A review of the impact of hospital effluents on human and animal health during the pandemic covid 19

The permanent increase of the contagion focus during the COVID 19 pandemic has contributed to a continuous discharge of SARS-CoV-2 virus and a large portion of unchanged or metabolized drugs through patients' stool and urine into hospital effluents. At present, untreated hospital sewage disposal practices result in a very high and continuous overload of these micropollutants into the environment. Their discharge into rivers and coastal waters is likely to have adverse effects in all exposed environmental compartments.
