The neonatal period within veterinary medicine is considered one of the main obstacles in health care. Therefore, pediatric care and support should be involved throughout the neonatal phase, from birth to the first 30 days of age. There are several important differences between neonate puppies and adult dogs and cats, such as anatomy and physiology, those differences play a vital role in the maintenance of animal well-beingand provide theman appropriate therapy with low toxicity.

Leishmaniasis is a non-contagious infectious disease and has a broad spectrum of clinical forms. Isolated oral mucosal leishmaniasis is rare and challenges clinicians and pathologists. We report two cases of oral leishmaniasis manifested as ulcerative growth on the palate and tongue nodule. Histopathological analysis was performed and the final diagnosis was made with the visualization of amastigote-like structures.

Objective: to verify the relationship between functional mobility and muscle strength in a group of elderly people participating in a public program of physical activities, called “Programa Mexa-se”, in the Joinville/SC city. Methods: This was a quantitative, correlational descriptive study, carried out in a non-probabilistic, intentional type. Included a random sample of 42 elderly people (27 women and 15 men), aged between 60 and 75 years, to whom two balance tests were applied: the Sit and Stand Test (TSL) and the Timed Up and Go Test (TUGT).

Nesse sentido, o objetivo deste trabalho foi desenvolver uma revisão bibliográfica acerca da preparação de amostras de argilas para submissão às mais destacadas e usuais técnicas de caracterização.

This study aims to evaluate dentoalveolar repair after topical use of clindamycin as root surface treatment of replanted teeth. Fourteen Wistar rats had the right maxillary incisor extracted and stored dry. The periodontal ligament was removed chemically by immersion in 1% sodium hypochlorite. Specimens were distributed into an experimental group (immersion in clindamycin solution for 5 minutes) and a control group (no topical antibiotic treatment) and then replanted.

A doença cárie ainda é um importante problema de saúde pública em todo o mundo, mesmo existindo métodos capazes de prevenir o seu desenvolvimento. Esta revisão sistemática da literatura objetiva identificar e analisar estudos clínicos que utilizaram agentes cariostáticos para o controle dos níveis de estreptococos do grupo mutans na saliva. Seguiu-se o protocolo PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) e a estratégia “PICO” [Paciente, Intervenção, Comparação e Outcomes (desfecho)] para melhor delineamento do estudo.

The objective of this paperwas to investigate the role of Structuring Teaching Committee (NDE) in the appropriation of institutional assessment policies related to the validation of bibliographic materials for the construction of Pedagogical Course Projects (PPC) and how these Committees have acted in order to meet the internal and external institutional evaluation policies related to the validation of bibliographic materials for the construction of the PPC.

Chemistry Education as an instrument of environmental awareness aims to work on the importance of caring for the environment, seeking a better understanding and development of critical citizen thinking about the environmental problems that are getting worse every day. In this sense, it is necessary to approach environmental education at school, aiming to raise students' awareness.
