Solving 2048-a detailed comparison of strategies

2048 is a mathematical puzzle game which although looks relatively simple with primitive and easy to understand rules. It has been proved that 2048 is Pspace Hard and also computationally np-hard in determining the end tile from a given starting position. Although there have been several attempts in solving 2048 using machine learning algorithms , none of them are easily human understand- able and some of them are also compromised in their consistency. We have thus created our own algorithm that is easier to understand and comprehend by human players.

Focal vibration on the spasticity of patients with neurological injuries

Introduction: Neurological injuries present movement disorders that impair the independence of these patients. Spasticity is one of the most frequent disorders and results in secondary complications with negative interference with physical and motor functions performed in daily life. The aim of this study was to review evidence in the literature that exposes the effect of focal vibration on spasticity in patients with neurological injuries.

Nanocomposites films based on poly (lactic acid) for controled release of rifampicin

Polymer nanocomposites have been successfully used as excipients in pharmaceutical technology, due to its various applications and features, especially in therapies for controlled drug release. The aim of this work was to prepare and characterize PLA nanocomposites by solution casting mode, with two different clays, sodic (NT25) and organoclay (Viscogel B8), focusing being possible used as matrices for controlled release of an important drug for tuberculosis, rifampicin.

Characterization of oreochromis niloticus strains of yalelo fishery of zambia using morphometric methods

Oreochromis niloticus fish was collected from Yalelo Fishery in May, 2020. A Dendrogram was used to delineate the sampled specimens using PC-ORDTM Software and the differences among strains were tested using One-way ANOVA in Statistix 9 Software (P = 0.05). Morphometric analysis showed that the sampled fish could be characterized into eight different strains. These results showed that the tested fish samples could be grouped into 8 types based on morphometric characters. The morphometric differences among the sampled O.

Optimization of the process of lyophilization of microbial culture of bacillus subtilis nbimcc 2353 by ultrasound

Lyophilization is a process in which water transforms from a solid to a gaseous aggregate state in a medium of vacuum and low temperature. In this type of processing of natural extracts, the biologically active substances in their composition remain unchanged. The continuous processing (24 - 72 hours), including freezing and drying in vacuum conditions and temperature regime from - 30℃ to + 30℃, is associated with a high energy consumption, which is a disadvantage of the method.

Temporal distribution of gestational syphilis cases in metropolitan area in Brazilian Amazon

Objective: This study aimed to know the occurrence of gestational syphilis cases in a municipality in the Brazilian Amazon from a historical series of cases. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional analysis with a quantitative approach was carried out from the official gestational syphilis notifications between 2015-2019, in the municipality of Ananindeua, state of Pará, northern Brazil. Results: Notified 421 cases of syphilis in pregnant women in the given period, with prevalence of cases between 2015 and 2016 (43%).

Analysis of magnesia hydroxylation heat as source of energy toconcentrate and/or dry magnesium hydroxide pulp

Magnesium hydroxide is an important inorganic compound that is largely used in many industrial processes. It can beobtained through the hydroxylation of magnesia, followed by comminution and drying step. In this context, the present work aims to evaluate if theexcess of hydroxylation reaction heat can be used in the subsequent step of product drying, developing and simulating the mass and energy balances in the system. Hydroxylation tests were carried outwith magnesia from mineral source, in a non-adiabatic reactor with25 % initial solids concentration.

Nutritional psychiatry: connecting depression and heart failure with the science of nutrition

Nutritional Psychiatry is a term used to describe a field of research, and a way of approaching the prevention and treatment of mental illness, which focuses on diet and nutrition. Among the complexity of the determinants of Mental Health problems, the emerging evidence from Nutrition shows relevant factors in the high prevalence of mental disorders, suggesting that diet is as important for Psychiatry as for Cardiology and Endocrinology.

Alzheimer's alters ampk signaling pathway and biomarkers of subclinical inflammation in leukocytos stimulated with resveratrol

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is considered the most prevalent form of dementia in the elderly and represents the fifth leading cause of death in this population. In addition, free radicals seem to play a fundamental role in brain aging, since several studies have found an association between cytotoxicity promoted by the accumulation of βA and oxidative stress. In this context, Resveratrol (RSV) is a polyphenol that has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. However, its mechanism of action in elderly AD is still unclear.
