The objective of the study was to analyze how the financial management / administration of CEEB, a philanthropic school in the interior of Maranhão, contributes to the development of children and adolescents. The methodology was characterized as a documentary bibliographic study, exploratory and descriptive, through a field research, the study sample was composed of 3 managers and 42 teachers from the institutional community of CEEB. The data were collected through an online questionnaire, with open and closed questions available on Google Drive.

Este artigo tem como foco central discutir sobre as metodologias ativas, apresentando modelos capazes de incentivar o protagonismo nos alunos durante a realização de atividades didáticas em sala de aula. Em paralelo, serão indicadas possíveis tecnologias digitais para cada um dos modelos ativos apresentados. A metodologia utilizada para este artigo é a revisão bibliográfica, através da qual são indicadas 4 (quatro) propostas/modelos ativos de ensino e aprendizagem.

As neoplasias malignas ou cânceres são patologias que podem acometer os seres humanos, especialmente aqueles que possuem predisposição ou estão expostos a fatores de riscos. O objetivo do presente estudo foi fazer o levantamento dos casos de mortalidade por câncer no período de 1979 a 2017, no município de Campo Formoso – BA, Brasil. Os dados foram coletados no sistema TABNET que é um tabulador de dados do Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS), vinculado ao Ministério da Saúde.

Introdução: O aperfeiçoamento dos sistemas adesivos tornou-se relevante nas práticas odontológicas, estimulando os fabricantes de equipamentos fotopolimerizadores a inovarem seus produtos complementando o sucesso dos tratamentos restauradores. Objetivo: Analisar a influência do fotopolimerizador na resistência mecânica de sistemas adesivos à estrutura dentinária. Metodologia: Utilizou-se 64 dentes bovinos anteroinferiores recém-extraídos.

In various regions of the world, ethnic groups have developed survival strategies using local flora. This work is the result of studies on forms of appropriation and management with Arecaceae, highlighting practices and knowledge of the Chiquitana ethnic group, in the community of San Nícolas del Cerrito, San Ignácio de Velasco, Bolivia, border with Brazil. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews and participant observation.

Esse presente artigo tem o intuito de apresentar a atual necessidade de avaliações infantis e sua imensa carência no Brasil. Para tentar suprir essa necessidade foi criado o ADPSI, uma avaliação com o objetivo de apreciar as competências em uma bateria de teste que mede diferentes habilidades inter-relacionadas do desenvolvimento nas áreas: de cognição, interação social, desenvolvimento sócio emocional, sensório motor e comportamento. Os testes são designados para uso em crianças entre 0 a 5 anos e 11 meses.

The activity of dentists has certain particularities. It involves a large number of invasive acts, is particularly exposed to blood and biological products and uses complex instruments in a naturally septic environment. Aware of this, dentists implement a set of procedures to ensure the safety of patients and the healthcare team, vaccination remains the best means of prevention with a dual role: to protect staff and patient consultants.

Objective: describethe clinical aspects related to infection in chronic wounds. Materials and methods: cross-sectional study, focusing on the prevalence of infection in chronic wounds. The sample consisted of 27 patients. In data collection, sociodemographic and clinical characteristics were evaluated. Data analysis was performed in Excel 2013 with Action Stat with descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk and Spearman tests. Results: there was a prevalence of men (63.0%, 17/27), elderly (63.0%, 17/27), with multiple chronic diseases (77.7%, 21/27) and venous ulcers (74.0 %, 20/27).

The authors are commenting on the study entitled “Treatment outcomes of ranibizumab versus aflibercept for neovascular age-related macular degeneration. Data from the fight retinal blindness registry”, published by Bhandari et al. in Ophthalmology 2020;127(3):369-376, which compared the 3-year treatment outcomes of ranibizumab and aflibercept in 965 treatment-naive eyes with neovascular age-related macular degeneration.

Ceramic pellets of MnxCo1-xAl2O4 compounds were investigated by powder X-ray diffraction method, as well as electrical properties with resistance analysis by the two-point method and complex impedance measurements. The manganese oxide was added to the system at molar fraction ratios of x = 0.05, 0.30, 0.50, 0.70, and 0.95. It was obtained samples from these compositions and were sintered at 1773 K for 5 h. The X-ray diffraction results were refined by the Rietveld method, and thus, we could determine the type of structure system as being spinel.
