Objetivou-se avaliar o conhecimento de idosos acerca das Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis e prática de sexo seguro. Trata-se de um estudo de levantamento realizado em fevereiro e março de 2018 com 60 pessoas idosas que frequentavam uma instituição pública do município de Juazeiro do Norte-CE nos dias do forró. Utilizou-se o questionário adaptado da Pesquisa de Conhecimento, Atitudes e Práticas na População Brasileira (PCAP) do Ministério da Saúde, como instrumento de coleta de dados.

This essay presents discussions about the approach to female protagonism in History Teaching in Brazil and in History itself, recognizing the absence of these characters in the face of a segregationist process. Therefore, female protagonism and gender research are taken as the theme. It appears that on the international stage, the suffragist movement, in the 20th century, served as an impetus to the movement of bourgeois women who sought to claim the right to universal vote, as an important mechanism of collective desire and political instrument.

Objetivo: Avaliar a qualidade de vida de pacientes acometidos por acidente vascular encefálico (AVE) em reabilitação em um município do Maranhão. Métodos: Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva-exploratória de abordagem quantitativa. Resultados: A amostra deste estudo foi constituída por 40 indivíduos. O AVE acometeu predominantemente indivíduos do sexo masculino (n=28; 70%), na faixa etária entre 48 a 62 anos (n=20; 50%), com ensino fundamental incompleto (n=20; 50%), aposentados (n=28; 70%) e residentes da zona urbana.

The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyzes flowchart model was adopted to demonstrate the search, identification, screening, eligibility and data inclusion process. The open software IRAMUTEQ and the Social Representation Theory assumptions were used to analyze the quantitative and qualitative data, respectively.

Introdução: Os benzodiazepínicos (BZD) são agentes ansiolíticos que atuam por meio da interação com o receptor gama-aminobutírico (GABA), o qual permite o influxo de íons cloreto, responsável por deprimir o sistema nervoso central (SNC). Os principais efeitos terapêuticos dos BZD são: ansiolítico, anticonvulsivante e sedativo. No entanto, devido ao risco de dependência e os efeitos colaterais que estes medicamentos causam nos pacientes, eles não devem ser utilizados por tempo prolongado.

The association between medications is a widely used therapeutic tool; however, this practice increases the rate of drug interactions (DI). Objective: This study examines potential drug interactions present in medical prescriptions of a private drugstore. Methods: A total of 1730 medical prescriptions were analyzed. The survey to assess potential DI was carried in the MICROMEDEX® database. Drug interactions were classified into minor, moderate, severe and contraindicated; into pharmacodynamics or pharmacokinetics.

This article proposes a reflection on the strategic value of the Management of Quality of Working Life (MQWL) of health professionals involved in combating COVID-19. At first, the current pandemic scenario was contextualized, and the main psychosocial effects it triggered in the lives of health professionals were highlighted. Then, the concept of Quality of Working Life (QWL) has been defined and articulated with the work reality of health professionals on the front line against COVID-19.

Objetivou-se com o presente estudo verificar a prevalência de incontinência urinária por esforço em mulheres praticantes de CrossFit® no Rio Grande do Norte. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, exploratório, com abordagem quantitativa. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio do preenchimento do questionário International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire - Short Form (ICIQ-SF). A amostra do estudo foi composta por 174 mulheres praticantes da modalidade estudada. A coleta de dados só ocorreu após aprovação pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa.
