Comparing programmatic and fully applied norms: the applicability of the rights of persons with disabilities in Brazilian administrative and tax law

This study demonstrates that programmatic constitutional norms of tendemand additional measures to be fully aims to discover whether the existent rules have been sufficient (or not) to providefull effectiveness to the protection constitutionally guaranteed, specially through an overview of the current administrative and tax laws that should grant equity of access and movement – from being able to use public spaces to buying adaptable cars.

Resumo: A pandemia da COVID-19 é algo que vêm crescendo gradativamente ao longo dos dias causando um aumento do número de pessoas infectadas e com isso vêm afetando não só a saúde física, mas também à saúde mental, causando na população o desenvolvendo algumas fobias. O presente estudo teve como objetivo discutir sobre COVID-19 e as principais fobias que estão acontecendo na sociedade durante a pandemia no novo Coronavírus.

Background and objective: Advances in research on quality of life (QOL) may result in changes in healthcare practices. Despite being exposed to adverse situations, many healthcare professionals develop strategies and resources to stay healthy, the resilience (R), which can make them satisfied with the work environment and to significantly promote biopsychosocial well-being.

Impact of treatment and monitoring of water quality in hemodialysis therapy

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is caused by kidney damage, which causes a loss of function. In the most advanced form, it generates to the patient the need for renal replacement therapies, such as hemodialysis (HD). One of the HD quality indicators is water quality. This study's objective was to demonstrate, discuss, and synthesize the importance of monitoring HD water treatment and verify the incidents of adverse events caused by contaminants.

Benefícios do aleitamento materno para a saúde da mulher: revisão de literatura

Objetivo: Elencar, analisar e discorrer sobre os benefícios do aleitamento materno para a saúde da mulher. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica da literatura, onde, para sua elaboração foram pesquisados artigos nas bases de dados: PubMed, Scielo e periódicos na revista médica Acta Pediatrica. Para a busca, empregaram-se os seguintes termos, “Aleitamento materno”, “importância da amamentação”, “saúde da mulher” e “benefícios da amamentação para a mulher”.

Repercussões emocionais no contexto da gestação de alto risco

High-risk pregnancy implies a context in which the life and health of the mother and/or the fetus/newborn are more likely to be affected than those of the general population. Stressful events in pregnancy may affect the mental health of women in this scenario. It was sought to explore which are the impacts on the mental health of pregnant women and the repercussions of high-risk on other gestational psychological phenomena. In this narrative review, a search for articles was carried out, published between 2010 and 2020, on the BVS, PePSIC, SciELO, LILACS, EBSCOhost, and Google Scholar.

The importance of man’s participation (father) in the pregnancy puerperal cycle

Objective: to describe the benefits of paternal presence during the pregnancy-puerperal cycle. Methodology: this is a descriptive and exploratory research, with a qualitative approach. Results: it is important not only to encourage the presence of the father for all women, but also that they are prepared and oriented to help the woman during childbirth and birth, assuming an active participation in this period that involves so many emotions.

Aggression management strategies: inmates respond positively to the use of soccer as a resocialization program

Background: Penal institutions have the rehabilitation and resocialization of criminals as their primary aim, transforming and reintegrating them back into society as productive citizens. One possible way of accomplishing this is through the practice of sports, which may be beneficial for the reintegration of these detainees into society. Objective: To investigate the effect of playing soccer on the aggression of inmates at a maximum-security prison.
