Objective: to analyze the epidemiological and sociodemographic profile of non-melanoma skin cancer in the state of Rondônia, Brazilian Amazon. Materials and Methods: the methodological design followed the characteristics of a cross-sectional and descriptive study, based on the raw data produced and sectorized, according to the methodological model recommended by Paraguassú-Chaves et al [15]. We used a semi-structured instrument developed by Paraguassú-Chaves et al [16], composed of 2 blocks of factors and their equivalent variables.

Objetivo: identificar os fatores determinantes que influenciam na qualidade de vida dos pacientes com hanseníase. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão da literatura, do tipo integrativa. O levantamento das informações ocorreu no Portal de periódicos CAPES/MEC. As bases eletrônicas de dados acessadas foram: SCIELO, LILACS, BDENF e MEDLINE. A amostra final foi composta por 11 artigos.

Objetivo: Analisar o perfil epidemiológico da violência contra a mulher no Brasil, no período de 2011. Métodos: Realizou-se uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa, utilizando dados de banco de dados secundário sobre violência contra a mulher, no período de 2011. A coleta de dados foi realizada na Vigilância de Violência e Acidentes (VIVA) Inquérito. Resultados: Foram registrados 1.399 casos de violência, a maioria sofreu violência física, eram pardas, com a faixa etária prevalente entre 20 a 39 anos, e de baixa escolaridade (menor que 11 anos de estudos).

This study aims to analyze nurses' pre-childbirth care. This is a descriptive research of a qualitative approach, developed in a private maternity hospital in the city of Teresina-PI. The study subjects were 06 nurses who work in the prepartum sector in the morning, afternoon and evening shifts. The collection was divided into two stages. The first presents the characterization of the subjects, and the second one, referring to the guiding questions of the study. For the analysis of the results, the Collective Subject Discourse method was used.

Objetivou-se identificar o conhecimento da equipe de enfermagem de uma unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal sobre o controle de infecção hospitalar ao recém-nascido. Trata-se de estudo descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa, realizado em hospital público em município brasileiro com 39 profissionais da equipe de enfermagem que atuam na UTIN. Os dados foram analisados através do método quantitativo, tabulados e apresentados em forma de gráficos e tabelas. A pesquisa foi aprovada sob CAAE n. 19936319.3.0000.5179.

Objective: to know the social representations of women living on the streets about the pregnancy-puerperal cycle. Method: qualitative research guided by the assumptions of the Theory of Social Representations, with 12 women. Adult women who experienced the entire pregnancy-puerperal period in the streets were included. An interview supported the data collection and the categorization of results was performed by content analysis. Results: the participants share an interrupted family process, seeking the street to maintain life and as a way of escape from family and / or social oppression.

Objetivou-se averiguar o conhecimento de mulheres com diabetes que desejam engravidar, sobre os possíveis riscos maternos e fetais associados ao diabetes mellitus descompensado. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória com abordagem qualitativa, que foi realizada em uma unidade de saúde da família em município do nordeste brasileiro, com 10 mulheres. Os resultados apontaram para um percentual de 100% das entrevistadas serem portadoras de diabetes tipo 2. A faixa etária se fixou dos 36 a 45 anos 80%, sendo dos 26 aos 35 anos, correspondente a 20%.

The main parameter for prognosis and treatment of prostate cancer is the Gleason score (GS), obtained by transrectal prostate biopsy, which will predict the degree of cell differentiation of the tumor. Often, GS before and after the surgery disagree, implicating in wrong choices of treatment, being more or less aggressive than the necessary, affecting the prognosis and life quality of the patient. Purpose: Compare GS of the transrectal prostate biopsyand surgical specimen after radicalprostatectomy.

No atual contexto há necessidade de se discutir a educação na sociedade, em especial as propostas desenvolvidas no ensino médio, uma vez que há muitos desafios a serem superados. Esta pesquisa objetivou analisar, a percepção de educadores acerca da implementação de um Laboratório de Aprendizagem Colaborativa (LAC) com vistas à melhoria da aprendizagem e do desenvolvimento local.

This study aimed to correlate the topography of children with disability and their motor performance according to the International Classification of Functioning.
