Landslides are among the most common natural disasters in mountainous areas, where they are enhanced by inadequate occupation of these areas, especially by the poorest people, who are unaware of the basic and safe concepts for housing construction. In the city of Recife, capital of Pernambuco, Brazil, these accidents occur more intensely during periods of rain, causing socioeconomic and environmental damage. The present study aimed to analyze and map the degree of risk and danger in two hills located in the city of Recife.

Studies have shown the participation of minerals, such as selenium, involved in the antioxidant defense of patients with chronic kidney disease. Therefore, the purpose of this review is to provide data on nutrient participation in the control of the antioxidant defense system in individual’s withchronic renal disease. A search of articles published in the PubMed and ScienceDirect database selected from March 2017 to February 2019 was performed using the keywords Selenium, Selenium supplementation, Oxidative stress, Antioxidant and Chronic Kidney Disease.

A gangrena deFournier é considerada uma patologia polimicrobiana rara, que acomete extensas áreas da pele e partes moles, com altas taxas de mortalidade. Objetivo: Descrever a evolução da lesão porSíndrome de Fournieratravés da utilização da laserterapia. Material e Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo descritiva do tipo relato de caso, realizado em um hospital de retaguarda no município de Campo Grande, MS. A amostra foi composta porcliente internada no setor reabilitação, proveniente de um hospital de agudos. A lesão era mensurada a cada 7 dias,com régua de folha sulfite de 30 cm.

Abstract- A Spirulina platensis é uma microalga com composição apropriada para usocomo complemento alimentar, apresnetando altos teores de proteínas (64-74%), ácidos graxos poliinsaturados e vitaminas, além de compostos antioxidantes. Objetivo: avaliar a atividade antimicrobiana e a composição físico-química do extrato bruto da microalga Spirulina platensis cultivada no banco de culturas de microalgas da UFPB, e comparar tais resultados aos encontrados a partir de Spirulinas obtidas no comércio de João Pessoa-PB.

To verify the influence of processing methods on painted files (Pseudoplatystoma sp) wet salting was performed, with binary solution and ternary solution, dry salting, liquid smoking and powder smoke, microbiological analysis identified absence of Salmonella sp in both fresh and processed fillets and decreased Staphylococci in fillets after processing. The moisture obtained for fillets with dry salting was lower than that osmotically treated with binary and ternorian solutions, and in the smoked fillets the powder smoking presented lower humidity than the liquid smoking.

Objectif: Cette étude a été entreprise dans la Réserve naturelle de Bandia pour contribuer à une meilleure gestion de la diversité biologique du Sénégal. Elle se propose d’établir les spectres taxonomique, biologique et chorologique de la flore de Bandia et aussi d’étudier les paramètres floristiques àsavoir: la richesse spécifique, la fréquence de présence des espèces et l’indice de similitude de Sorensen. Méthodologie et résultats: Le travail de terrain a été effectué en faisant l’échantillonnage de la zone.

Objetivo: conhecer o uso de plantas medicinais entre pacientes da atenção primária em saúde de Campina Grande (PB), Brasil. Método: Estudo transversal, realizado mediante um questionário apropriado. Dados analisados por estatística descritiva e mediante o testeexato de Fischer, com nível de significância de 5%. Resultados: Entre os entrevistados (n=356), a maioriajá usou alguma planta medicinal (79,2%) adquirida em feiras e mercados (35,9%) oupor cultivo próprio (33,1%).Buscam informações sobre fitoterapia com familiares (46,3%) e, uma minoria, com algumprofissional de saúde (3,3%).

Sweet potatoes roots have become the focus of research in the past recent years due to their unique nutritional and functional properties. Under Brazilian climate conditions, sweet potato cultivar BRS Rubissol has high yield on average 40 tonnes per hectare and presents excellent quality for industrial processing; however, when the roots are stored at room temperature, the shelf life is over in two to four weeks due to the sprouting and weight loss (withered).

Aim: to investigate elderly octogenarians who declared themselves to be Catholic and Evangelical regarding sociodemographic aspects and health conditions, religious conping and the declared frequencies of private and public religious practices. Materials and methods: observational, correlational, descriptive, quantitative and qualitative cross-sectional study, carried out in the research project database “Patterns of cognitive and psychosocial physical aging in long-lived elderly people living in different contexts”.

The present work aimed to evaluate different proportions of decomposed babassu stem in the composition of substrates for vegetative propagation of bougainville. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design (CRD), with six treatments and four replications totaling 24 plots. The substrate (S) used was soil based with decomposed babassu stem (DBS), in the following proportions: 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% of DBS, plus soil.
