Farmers’ Education and Food Security at the Household Level in Lira City, Northern Uganda

The study highlights the contribution of Farmers' Education to food security among selected households in one division of Lira City. The research questions addressed; the contribution of farmers' Education to food availability, the contribution of farmers' Education to food accessibility, and the effect of Farmers' Education on food utilization in Amuca Ward. A descriptive research design was adopted.

Nesta pesquisa, foi necessário utilizar o referencial qualitativo, descritivo, analítico e o método comparativo como método abrangente, que deverá ser considerando para o presente trabalho.

Estimating the population mean in srswr with minimum sample size and minimum relative mean square error

This paper is focused on the impact of minimum sample size with minimum relative standard error on the estimation of the population mean in simple random sampling when sampling is with replacement. The data used in this paper is the data of the population of Fish caught by marine recreational Fishermen by species Group and Year of Atlantic and Gulf coasts. To show the above impact Three applications where executed for this purpose.

Correlation of Serum zinc level with severity of Diarrhea in children under 16 Years of Age: A Cross-Sectional Observational Study

Acute diarrhea is one of the commonest cause of hospitalization in children and it can vary from self limiting course to severe diarrhea requiring hospitalization and can cause severe morbidity and occasionally mortality if not treated accordingly. Zinc deficiency can cause impaired immunity thereby increasing the infections including acute diarrhea. It is thus biologically plausible that zinc deficiency may increase the incidence and duration of acute diarrhea in children. WHO has recommended supplementation of zinc for each episode of diarrhea irrespective of zinc status of the child.

Creation of an Information base for the Efficient Management of Reconstructed Complex gas Pipeline Systems

A highly reliable and efficient technological scheme has been proposed for managing emergency processes in gas transportation based on the principles of the reconstruction phase. For complex gas pipeline systems, new approaches have been investigated for the modernization of existing control process monitoring systems. These approaches are based on modern achievements in control theory and information technology, aiming to select emergency and technological modes.

Appendicitis is an inflammation of the vermiform appendix, usually caused by interference with its lumen, or which increases intraluminal pressure and causes inflammation. Its symptoms include anorexia, diarrhea, periumbilical colic, fever and pain in the right lower quadrant. Clinical signs such as Blumberg's, Rovsing's, Psoas and Obturator's are observed on physical examination. The standard treatment is appendectomy, which can be performed laparoscopically or openly.
