Despite being Africa’s largest economy, Nigeria faces ongoing energy challenges, including unreliable supply, inadequate infrastructure, and limited access, with over 85 million people lacking electricity. These energy deficiencies negatively affect productivity, healthcare, education, and overall citizen welfare.

Effectiveness of interventions that foster Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Mentorship Initiatives in Uganda

Youth unemployment is a pressing issue in Uganda, where the majority of the population is under 30 years old. Work-Based Learning (WBL) and mentorship programs have been identified as promising strategies to enhance employability by equipping young people with the necessary skills for the labor market. This study examines the effectiveness of these programs in Uganda by analyzing participant demographics, program characteristics, and outcomes related to employability and career advancement.

Hainan residents’ knowledge and advice on key gynecological disorders

Gynecological diseases are common and frequent among women, affecting their daily lives and physical and mental health. With the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the advancement of special domestic policies, gynecological diseases are receiving increasing attention, and women’s willingness to disclose their conditions has greatly improved. This study conducted a survey through questionnaires and interviews to investigate the awareness of major gynecological diseases among residents of the Hainan region, and data were analyzed using SPSS chi-square tests.

This systematic review examines the evolving roles, competencies, and contributions of pharmacists in enhancing healthcare quality and accessibility globally. Through an extensive review of literature from 2010 to 2024, we identify the critical impact of pharmacists in improving medication management, reducing healthcare costs, and expanding care in underserved populations.

Assessing fungal toxin sensitivity in plant-based products: an in vitro approach using lymphocyte and cytotoxicity assays

This study investigates the immunological response of plant-based products (wheat and maize) infected by Aspergillus flavus and Penicillium expansum fungal species known to produce carcinogenic and anticonvulsant toxins. Lymphocyte and cytotoxicity assays were employed to assess the sensitivity and immune response of plant cells to these toxins. The assays measured cellular viability, immune reactions, and sensitivity through the lymphocytic response to fungal metabolites.
