Macroscopic effect of lipoic acid in skin injury in the model of diabetes mellitus induced by alloxan in rats

Objective: Evaluate the macroscopic effect of lipoic acid on skin lesion in rats with alloxan-induced diabetes mellitus model. Material and Methods: For diabetes induction, Wistar albino rats received Alloxan at 50mg/kg. After 72 hours, the glycemia was verified to confirm diabetes; animals with values below 250mg/dl were discarded. After the diagnosis, surgical excision of a skin fragment was performed with a 7 mm punch.

The main objective of this research was to analyze the frequency of detection of human papillomavirus (HPV) of high oncogenic risk in oral leukoplakias and oral squamous cell carcinoma. This is a systematic review of the literature developed by collecting data from the National Library of Medicine (Medline via PubMed); Elsevier’s Scopus (SCOPUS); Web of Science and Cochrane Library with descriptors indexed in the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH). The studies were selected by the relevance test and analyzed according to the GRADE system.

Content validation of operational definitions of hospitalization anxiety in children

Objective: To perform content validation of the attributes of the nursing diagnosis of Hospitalization Anxiety in children. Method: Methodological study, with descriptive-reflective nature, which used the method of Content Validation, following the steps: 1) selection of experts; 2) identification of characteristics that represent the definition and the factors related to diagnosis in a study by experts; 3) and calculation of the total score of the studied diagnosis.

Profile of gender violence against the lgbt population and associated factors

The ingestion of a strange body is not a rare clinical condition, but it can be very serious, which can cause an important posterior complication, in which liver abscess stands out, a serious and extremely uncommon condition. Report the case of a patient with a secondary liver abscess to ingestion of a foreign body. This study was observational, descriptive, unparalleled, without funding, with a single sample. The information was obtained through the analysis of the patient's medical record, laboratory and image exams, monitoring of clinical and surgical conducts and literature review.
