Influenced of the angle thigh-trunk on the mobility of the postural chain

The increase of the mobility of the basin improves the performance when the area of ischio-femoral contact is reduced at the time of the tasks executed in seated position. This research has for objective to study the function that the angle plays articularthigh-trunk (C-T) on the performance. It is about an experimental survey that has been achieved on 8 masculine topics.

Physiological basis of strength training and its relationship with football – a review study

Football, like every product of human culture, undergoes evolution, from its concept to the form of its practice. Football is a dynamic sport with unpredictable movements and many variations throughout the game. Nowadays, it is perceived that the game of football has a very high demand for physical strength from the defensive moments and extends to the offensive moments. Belozo and Lopes (2017) calls attention to the fact that during a game and even a training session the athletes will perform several actions of acceleration and deceleration.

Concepções de autolesão não suicida por adolescentes que se autolesionam

Objetivou-se identificar e analisar as concepções de Autolesão Não Suicida (ALNS) por adolescentes que se autolesionam. Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa, com coleta de dados por meio de entrevistas individuais utilizando Desenho-Estória com Tema, com oito adolescentes que referiram autolesão de uma escola de um município do interior de São Paulo, Brasil. Os dados foram analisados pela análise temática; o referencial teórico foi a teoria psicanalítica winnicottiana. Identificaram-se duas categorias: “Você descarrega seu peso ali”;“Fui fazendo cada vez mais”.

Formulation and evaluation of grewiatenax fruits as effervescent tablets for treatment of iron deficiency anemia

Grewiatenax fruits as nutritional supplement are being widely used in traditional medicine in most parts of Sudan to treat anemic patients. This study was conducted to specify the most productive method for extractingG. tenax fruits and to standardize and formulate the extract into effervescent tablets. The fruits were extracted by hot and cold extraction with maceration using 80%, 65%, and 50% ethanol strength and the extracts were standardized. Two formulae (F1 and F2) were prepared from the extract and compressed into tablets.

A descriptive study on caregivers knowledge regarding homecare needs of stroke patients in a selected Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab

Stroke is one of the main Non-Communicable Disease of public health. It is a global problem of enormous proportion. Stroke is becoming a major cause of premature deaths and disability in developing countries. It has been found that a considerable number of stroke patients will survive from five to ten years after initial incident of stroke. Furthermore, one-fifth of stroke survivors require long term care. Stroke survivors need intensive long term home-care and assistance in their (ADL) Activities of Daily Living from family members, close friends or paid attendant.

Epidemiological profile of patients with acute myocardial infarction: a literary review

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI), also known as a "heart attack", consists of necrosis of the heart muscle resulting from ischemia. Objective: The objective of this study was to identify the epidemiological profile of individuals affected by AMI. Methodology: The method used was the integrative literature review (RIL) of quantitative and descriptive approach with data collection in the database on the platforms: Lilacs, Medline and Scielo. Results: A total of eleven articles that met the pre-established inclusion criteria were analyzed in this RIL.

Long-term outcomes of switching to aflibercept for treatment-resistant neovacular age-related macular degeneration

The authors are commenting on the study entitled “Long-term outcomes of switching to aflibercept for treatment-resistant neovascular age-related macular degeneration” published by Spooner et al. in Acta Ophthalmologica 2019;97(5):e706-e7012. The conclusion of this study was that aflibercept was an effective alternative therapy for treatment-resistant active, chronic neovascular age-related macular degeneration.

Kaposi sarcoma in people living with Hiv/Aids: clinical and histopathological aspects of cutaneous lesions of patients attended at a reference University Hospital in Amazon region

Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) corresponds to a systemic malignant and multifocal disease with a distinct clinical course, most commonly associated with Human immunodeficiency (HIV). Case series study to describe the clinical forms and histopathological changes of cutaneous lesions in patients with Kaposi's sarcoma and HIV coinfection at reference university hospital in Amazon region, from 2014-2017. From 20 individuals, 95% were male, mostly composed of young adults (35.1 years). Time of serological diagnosis: 11.67months and a skin lesion time: 11.47months.

Macrodystrophia lipomatosa: A case report

Lipomatous macrositrophy, also known as macrodactyly, is a rare congenital condition of overgrowth of bone structures. Its diagnosis requires a close relationship with clinical, histopathological and imaging data, in order to rule out other possible causes of macrodactyly, in addition to tumors and malformations. The present report describes a 31-year-old patient, with continuous growth of the 3rd and 4th fingers of the left hand, alleging nervous, motor changes and a strong influence on the biopsychosocial aspect.

Comparative study of manual and reciprocanting files on the capacity of obtaining apical patency in teeth with enlargement of the apical foramen

The aim of this study was to evaluate the ability to obtain patency in enlarged foramina using manual files and Reciproc. For this, forty-five mesial and palatal roots of lower and upper molars, respectively, were sectioned, instrumented and filled with gutta percha and AH Plus cement.
