Characterization of gum Arabic is of paramount importance especially when it is intended to be used as a natural additive in a wide spectrum of pharmaceutical and food industries. In this study, laboratory procedures as well as biochemical tests were used to investigate the effect of some bacteria species on the characteristics of Acacia Senegal var. Senegal gum Arabic stored for different periods. The results revealed that dried gum Arabic, kept under long-term storage, is more resistant to biodegradation than the freshly harvested one.

This research seeks to promote a discussion about Youth and Adult Education, with a focus on teaching. Its main objective is to understand the main challenges faced by EJA teachers at the Nair Duarte Municipal School and, as specific objectives, to outline the profile of EJA teachers, identify aspects of teaching practice and main challenges faced by teachers; and, to investigate the alternatives found by teachers to deal with the challenges.

Objetivo: avaliar o conhecimento e prática de idosas do município de Floriano-PI, sobre o exame citopatológico do colo do útero. Materiais e Métodos: É um estudo descrito-exploratório e transversal, quantitativo, realizado com 39 idosasatendidas em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde do referido município.Para coleta de dados, utilizou-se um formulário que contemplavaos dados socioeconômicos, características sexuais e relacionadas ao conhecimento e àprática sobre o exame citopatológico do colo do útero.

Though such people do not lack access to finances all together, their need for financial services remains largely unexplored and invisible to formal financial systems. Low-income individuals being an important section of the Indian economy, any economy that grows and does little to promote the cause of such individuals is devoid of social purpose.

An effective, efficient and fair implementation of the consumer protection Act is sine qua non for promoting the culture of good governance and thereby ensuring the better promotion and protection of the rights of the consumers. If the rights of the consumers in relation to the quality of goods and services are assured and taken care of then there will be no cause for complaints. Este estudo trata-se de uma análise sobre o impacto das estrias na autoestima das mulheres. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e de abordagem quantitativa que foi realizado com 20 participantes do sexo feminino, com idades entre 20 e 40 anos que possuíssem estrias em alguma região do corpo. Para coleta dos dados aplicou-se um questionário online contendo 9 perguntas de múltipla escolha. Para analisar os dados utilizou-se a técnica de Análise de Conteúdo Temática Categorial.

This article discusses the process of implementation of the combined classroom and distance modality (Distance Education), whose proposal is from the Secretary of State of Education - SEED, in partnership with the Secretariat of Security and Penitentiary Administration that proposes a differentiated form in provision of basic education to students temporarily deprived of their liberty in the prison system Professor Tomires de Carvalho de Maringá.

The study was designed to examine formative assessment practice of secondaryschool teachers in Abakaliki education zone of Ebonyi State. The studywas a descriptive survey research design guided with four research questions and four hypotheses. Relevant literatures were reviewed under conceptual framework, theoretical framework, review of empirical studies and summary of literature review. The population of the study is made up of 3,220 teachers from the 110 public secondary schools in Abakaliki Education zone of Ebonyi State. The sample size of this study is 358 teachers.

Esse estudo objetivou descrever como a escola trabalha a Educação Sexual na prevenção das Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis entre adolescentes a partir dos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais. Estudo descritivo, bibliográfico com investigação qualitativa, de desenho não experimental, onde teve como universo da investigação escolas do Estado do Ceará. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de fontes secundárias e terciárias, principalmente de documentos do Ministério da Saúde e Secretarias de Educação e Saúde do Estado do Ceará, abertos ao público.
