Diversos fatores impactam no aumento das doenças crônicas não transmissíveis (DCNT) e, consequentemente, na mortalidade mundial. Devido a isso, os pacientes acometidos por tais doenças fazem uso de diversos medicamentos de elevado custo que são disponibilizados pelo componente especializado da assistência farmacêutica (CEAF) de forma segura e eficaz. O objetivo desse estudo foi traçar um perfil farmacoterapêutico de usuários cadastrados em CEAF em uma cidade no interior do Nordeste/Brasil.

This paper through literature review and meta-analysis investigates carbon emission tax as a tool for emission reduction in Nigeria’s economy. To obtain robust findings, other countries experience as regards to carbon emission tax policy implementation were reviewed. Findings from the meta-analysis show thatcarbon emission tax would significantly reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption from fossil fuels.

The present study was developed with the purpose of evaluating the performance of two photovoltaic water pumping systems located at the State University of Ceará, Fortaleza, Brazil (latitude 3.40°S, longitude 38.33°W). One of the systems has 50 Wp of nominal power and the other 100 Wp of nominal power. The results presented were based on data collected weekly in 56 days, scattered in the months of April/2018, August/2018 and September/2018.

Objetivo: descrever o conhecimento de mulheres no último trimestre de gestação acerca das emergências obstétricas. Métodos: A pesquisa trata-se de um estudo descritivo, exploratório, de abordagem qualitativa que foi realizada com gestantes em acompanhamento pré-natal de uma unidade de atenção primária. Como instrumento de coleta de dados foi utilizado uma entrevista semiestruturada, elaborado pelos pesquisadores. O estudo foi aprovado pelo comitê de ética e pesquisa da Universidade Regional do Cariri. Os dados coletados foram categorizados de acordo com a análise de conteúdo temática.

Avaliar o nível de pressão sonora encontrado no ambiente de trabalho de profissionais de Educação Física que atuam em academias e investigar os efeitos sobre a saúde advindos dessa exposição. Estudo transversal realizado com 30 profissionais de Educação Física que trabalhavam em 8 academias na cidade de Guarapuava – PR. O nível de pressão sonora equivalente (Leq, em dB(A)) foi medido em conformidade com a norma internacional para avaliação de ruído ocupacional ISO 9612.

Heat exchangers are widely used in industries for the use of thermal energy generated from different processes. For a definite use of this energy, the temperatures of the hot and cold fluids passing through the heat exchanger must be monitored and controlled efficiently. A suitable model of the heat exchanger is required for monitoring and control purposes. The objective of this work is to mathematically model a heat exchanger using a system identification method using a computational tool.

Weeds impair the productive efficiency of agricultural crops, a species that has shown an increase in occurrence is the melon-de-são-caetano (Momordica charantia L.), and this causes losses due to competition for water, light, nutrients and space. Therefore, a treatment with an effective herbicide to control this species is of utmost importance for the reduction of the damage caused. The Brazilian brewery sector has significantly grown in the past few years due to recent developments from microbreweries and mid-scale craft beer manufacturers. Despite the slightly higher end-product cost, the diversity and improved quality are perceived as an acceptable trade-off by customers. The contemporary Brazilian scenario contrasts with the legacy mainstream beer producers that prevailed in market-share until late 90s with no competitors. In this article, we present a brief introduction of the beer history worldwide and its current state in Brazil.
