The purpose of this paper is to study assessed financial management skills of athletes and implication in their training and economic development for long-term performance. The sports industry creates direct economic benefits through sales of tickets from events, consumables, hospitality, and manufacture of sports attire, tourism and labour market. International championship, Olympic Games, common wealth, Grand prix, diamond League, the Federation International of the Football association (FIFA) and others. Athletes have continued to give to the society both in kind and materially.

Exploring the attitudes of undergradate students towards research course at the institute of adult education, Tanzania

This study explored the students’ attitude towards research. The participants of the study were undergraduate students at the Institute of Adult Education Tanzania. This cross sectional study was done in April-July 2018. The sample comprised of 120 students selected through simple random sampling technique. The study population were all undergraduate students at the Institute. Cochran equation formula was used to determine the sample size. The Attitude Towards Research scale (ATR) was adapted for data collection. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from students.

Evaluation of records on the adolescent pregnancy card and satisfaction with the pre-natal consultation

This is an evaluative study that aimed to evaluate the records of prenatal care in the adolescent pregnancy card and the degree of satisfaction of pregnant adolescent women with prenatal consultation. The sample consisted of 70 pregnant adolescents in a municipality in the Southern state of Piauí. Data were collected in the households through a form, from November to December 2014. Data were analyzed in the Statistical Package for the Social Science version 22. The results were arranged in illustrative tables and graphs.

The deaf person and psychotherapy: demands x qualification of psychologists

This research aims at understanding how the psychotherapeutic process unfolds itself before the deaf community, bearing in mind the demands which are put forward and the technical preparation of the psychologists. This research has a quantitative, descriptive and field nature, having been conducted in the municipalities of Quixadá and Quixeramobim, both situated in the Sertão Central region, Ceará state, during the period spanning from June to September 2018.

Alcoholism among high school students: Profile and educational intervention

The misuse of alcoholic beverages is considered to be of high prevalence in adults and adolescents alike, which affects their physical and mental health and their social and family context. Alcoholism is present in several social strata, including in the student milieu, making it a public health problem, which requires a quality of care. Based on these premises the objective of this study was to outline the profile of alcohol consumption in adolescents and young adults who attend high school.

Associationship and gap between knowledge and practice on maternal health among pregnant women

The present study carried out at purposively selected Diamond Harbour-1 block of South 24 Parganas District, West Bengal. One Sub Centre (SC) was selected from one Gram Panchayet (GP) which is situated beside GPs. Total eight SCs was selected for selection of respondents. Total 121 no. of respondents comprised of all the reproductive age group of 18-45 yrs women was selected.

A comparison of fmcg industry in India and the usa: The case of laundry detergent market

The Indian fast moving consumer good (FMCG) is projected to grow significantly over the next decade or so. In this paper, a detailed comparison of the detergent category for the Indian and the US markets has been presented. Using brand level sales, price, and promotion data, Logit demand functions has been estimated for both Indian and the US markets. The model provides us estimates of the “equity” enjoyed by various brands as well as measures of price elasticity.

Effectivenesss of vocational education on youth empowerment for community development

The focus of this paper is on the effectiveness of vocational education on youth empowerment for community development. The highlights of the paper include vocational education, youth empowerment, types of empowerment, community development and challenges of vocational education in Nigeria. The paper concludes that vocational education remains an indispensible and effective tool for youth empowerment and community development.

Continued training, quality of life and prevalence of osteomuscular symptoms in teachers of basic education

The purpose of this descriptive, quantitative and cross - sectional study is to compare the scores of Osteomuscular Disturbances (DM) presented by 48 Basic Education teachers who participate in a continuing education program with previous studies. The data were collected through the application of the Nordic Osteomuscular Symptom Questionnaire (QNSO).

Profile of women assisted by the maria da penha patrol in the Pará State

The importance of this study is to understand the factors associated with domestic violence against women who, although legally protected, remain in a situation of vulnerability, as is the case of the women protected by the Maria da Penha Patrol in the Pará State. In this context, the objective of this study is to show the profile of women victims of domestic violence, who are under the protection of the Maria da Penha Patrol of the Pará State.
